RE: Finding Yourself? Get Lost.

in #life8 years ago

The entire premise is to vague to be workable. What we need is a model of understanding that we can apply and use in your life.

To that end, yes, your "self" is always in a state of flux. However, that self is always navigating into the future, trying to stay true to itself. It is precisely because it changes all the time that it's silly to think you can "find yourself!" The real goal is to exercise our telos and try to find emergent Properties of ourselves as they develop, so we can recognize them early and make decisions about them.

So don't try to "find yourself". Ask "what should my self be doing right now?"

At least that's my take on it.
