60 days until drop out! New series!!

in #life7 years ago

Today was the first day back at work after my trip.

I was excited. Fucking hyped. Finally, I can devote my full time to building the lifestyle I want to have. My trip to Chicago gave me some new reasons, new motivation to make this happen, I was so excited I didn't even sleep. Pulled an all-nighter the first day I'm back.

Well, that probably happened because I was jet lagged and slept until 7 pm, but hey, still, I stayed up 24 hours after that and then only took a two-hour nap soooo we should be back to normal tonight.

Anyway, the first day back was quite interesting.

For the past four months, we have been working on building a client service business, providing a ton of free work for potential clients, trying to get the word out about what we do, hoping to attract some big clients in the future.

Today, we completely pivoted. The plan to do work for clients went out the window. Not exactly, we still have it in the back of our heads and will be even more selective when picking the clients we want to work with from here on out. So, we will still do some of it when we find the time and joy to do so.

But today we set out on a new path. Building a different business and documenting the entire journey on YouTube.

Unfortunately, it is going to be in German, so you might not be able to follow along. I will link it up soon anyway. Exciting times. There's not a lot of people doing what we plan to do, not even in the English community, so doing it in German, we will stand out even more.

The plan is to document the entire journey of how we build this business. In video format. From day one. Which is today.

Personally, that's something I'd be happy to watch. Must be pretty interesting. As long as you're somewhat entertaining. And provide value. Qualities I'm confident I have.

As a matter of fact, one of my first Steemit posts was about how much I like Steemit because it gives people an incentive to document their thoughts. And how great it would be being able to go back in time to the day when some of today's greatest people, however you personally define that, whoever your idol is, started out. Their first steps and attempts, learning their craft and becoming a master in their chosen field. That would be epic!

So, since it is way easier for me to document stuff on camera, I'm just better at video than at writing, it's also less time intensive, I think, we will put out the journey on YouTube.

The first series we start is called "60 days until drop out".

Right now, we have the 11th of August. The semester break just started and lectures will begin again in mid-October. So, we have a 60 day period to get this business off the ground and to the point where it is profitable enough for us to keep going at it full time. Whether or not we will drop out, as there are a lot of benefits to being a student in Germany, and it's pretty much free, we will see. But that's the goal. The driver. One of the main motivators to keep pushing so hard. To not sleep and eat not as healthy, work out less. If we can endure this 60-day sprint and use it to set us on the path we need to be on, then that's well worth it.

I will keep you posted about the progress here on Steemit. Will probably share what exactly we do in the next couple of posts. And outline what happens on the daily.

Stay awesome and don't fail to build!

I'm gon give it my best to make it interesting! :D

Goddamit I knew I should've studied german in school!

Haha you never know :D

I can teach you some! Also thought about adding English subs so you might still be able to follow along. Gotta see how I'll do with the editing and stuff, never done any of it.

lol! but yeah subtitles might be a good option. On Youtube you can activate community subtitles so maybe some really nice person could help out with those
