It was the same old song so I turned off the radio

Turn your mind off

Do you follow your thoughts? Where they’re going and what they do?

Do they distract you from your main task?

Probably spam you with enormous amounts of noise.

Random accumulations of the same thought patterns over and over and over again.

Just listen.

Multiple voices. Fighting with each other.

Who can scream the loudest, gain power over the conscious mind and escape the soul of the subconsciousness for a brief moment.

You listen. Or you try.

What would it mean to listen to all the voices inside your head?

Is there a moderator? That would create an extra voice.

Doesn’t seem to help.

We are not our thoughts.

Our mind is playing games. Abusing its medium. You.

“I can’t live with myself.” “Why would I think something as absurd as this?”

Ever had one of these thoughts? Or anything similar. Doesn’t matter.

Point is, they suggest there’s more than just one inside of us.

Do I sound schizophrenic yet?

Maybe.

Who knows, people with multiple personalities are simply more aware than the “normal (average)” people.

Everybody has an angry, sad, happy face.

Different personalities in different scenarios.

You might be shy in class but turn up on the field.

Only you get to decide which persona you portray at any given moment.

Choose the one most suitable. The one with a high probability of giving you an advantage that is.

Don’t say I’m the introvert and I have to work on myself so I can network better. (Replace with any issues you seem to have and want to fix)

The self-help-personal-development industry has it all wrong.

You don’t need to improve.

You are already there. Arrived. You are good enough.

Only thing left is a conscious effort to change personalities. Like a switch.

And you can be everything you want to be.

No need for years of training.

I know this sounds abstract. I’ll probably read it in an hour and scream “what”.

But if society doesn’t define you and nobody cares about any opinions then it’s up to you to take charge.

Define yourself.

At which point if life did any personality become permanent?

You can always choose to … be different.

Now, do I follow my thoughts?

They drifted all over the place during this writing. I will follow from now on.

Be a close listener. A quiet observer.

Stay awesome and don’t fail to create!

Thanks! Really needed to read this after the week I've had

thank you very much for such beautiful words, gets motivate people, congratulations thank you for sharing

Thank you for this... The experience you describe parallels my own, as the voices within compete to run the narrative and set the intention... Yet always, the choice of which inner thought to adopt, express, and manifest will always be "Mine", even though identity itself is also an illusion.
