So today is the first day of my journey to a greater understanding of my physical self. I, as well as many others, have struggling with "tracking" my calories and exercise for a long time because after a few days I tend to just lose steam (pun intended). My goal with this series (which was inspired by @nindoaesthetics {check out their page!}) is to build discipline by owning up to the responsibility of posting EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I believe you guys will be a huge help in keeping me accountable and I hope you join me!
That being said, I will be tracking food consumed/approximate calories, exercise, and emotional states throughout the day as well as any additional notes. Without any further delay, lets get to these GAINS!!!
Food:
This one is pretty easy today as I decided to abstain from food (I regularly practice intermittent fasting) and the only non-water beverage I consumed today was black coffee. This leaves us with a whopping 0 calories!
Exercise:
3 sets of
-Pushups (20 per set last set 15 decline)
-Plank (20-45 sec)
-Squats (10 per set)
I also did a warm-up set of each exercise at about 40-60% of intended set intensity.
Emotional states/notes:
I always feel as if I function much better cognitively which fasting rather than eating. I was slightly tired and drained of energy at work but not enough to impact my performance. I feel very inspired and excited tonight and I am looking forward to sharing my progress with you guys! During and after my workout, I felt a positive surge of energy and clear thinking that allows me to track and design my goals. I will not be recording my weight because my goal is not to lose weight but instead to lose fat while building muscle. I find it difficult to set specific fitness goals but I will start with this : my goal is to lose enough fat to be able to see my abs in 8 weeks.
