Attended my first fundraiser since arriving in NM. It was a chili challenge put on by the Rotary club.
I will upload more photos once I’m on laptop, but I’m not promising any photos of the actual chili or beer. I was too busy eating, drinking and chatting to remember to take any until it was all done and we were all leaving.
I did manage the shot you see here of where some chili used to be.
It was a lovely balmy day filled with hot chili, cold beer and the warmest group of people you’ve ever met. And we raised lots of money for charity.

One last one of a bit of the crowd just after the best green and best red chilies are announced. My favorites won 1st and 2nd place. There was also a best beer chosen.

Sounds like a really nice thing to be part of @indigoocean! Ended here via one of those synchronicities of life: The last post I read was by a young lady trying to raise funds for an operation for her cat; next post was yours, about charity. And yet, I was not looking at "charity" posts.

It was greatly helped by the fact that it was held just a mile from my house, was hosted by friends, and a neighbor met me at my house to ride in together. Even an introvert can manage showing up for that!
