Sorry to hear your boss is an a$$hole. I am glad I’m retired now and don’t have to put up with bad bosses Although I was lucky the last few years. I don’t know how your area is with regards to businesses having a hard time finding employees but your boss should take care not to lose a good employee. And I wouldn’t worry too much about your friend. That kind of bragging comes from weakness and a feeling of inadequacy. Take care.
To be fair, my current boss is one of the best bosses I've ever had, and I've been working for about 18 years. But yeah, ideally I'd like my next job to be either working from home in some capacity or retire and live off of crypto 😁
