RE: I wouldn't Wish Away My Anxiety Disorder

in #life7 years ago

I wouldn’t take away something that helped shape my personality, no matter how bothersome it can be.

First up, thank you for this post, I have suffered from anxiety and depression for quite some time but most of the time it is manageable and I am a productive part of society. However, of late I have been struggling with panic attacks and you reminded me that I use the below line quite a lot but in relation to my ostomy but have never thought to apply it to my other disorders.

Having a disorder helps you to be more forgiving when other people’s disorders act up.

It definitely helps you be more aware of others conditions as I think its really hard to understand it when you haven't actually endured it.

General anxiety disorder inspires me to root for the underdog.

I never put this together with anxiety but I always root for the underdog and cry if they win or lose.

Thanks again, you have a new follower and I look forward to checking out your next post!

Thank you. I will follow you too!

Most of the time it is manageable for me as well. Oh man. Panic attacks suck. I had pretty bad panic attacks after my car accident, but haven't really had them since. I hope they ease up in time for you.

Thank you me too. The situation which has created them is still in play for another month or so. Each time I'm faced with It, it does get it easier.
