NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE IN LIFE YET? --- READ THIS BLOG POST (You'll be glad you did)

in #life6 years ago (edited)

Life seems to not give us what we want... as fast as we want it.. HERE'S THE SECRET TO THAT!

life-seem-weird.png

....before you are ready to digest this post, you might have to do a few things:

  1. Open your mind -- be ready to accept something new

  2. Wake up early. Go watch the morning traffic of cars going to work

  3. In the late afternoon. Go watch the same traffic of cars coming home

  4. Look around your house. What is new? What was there yesterday? What might be there tomorrow?

NOW STOP.

LISTEN...

The majority of us work hard for our future. If you don't... your lifestyle will degrade even worse than it is now - that is what the motivation is for a lot of people.

We work today, so we can enjoy our life tomorrow.

We put our energy into things that can help us graduate us to a better tomorrow.

.
I don't just do that... you do that... and most people do that...

We just get so use to doing that everyday... it is easily to lose yourself in the shuffle of life...

  • Which means today, feels just last week. We're doing the same things, having the same struggles, the same effort we give attempts to improve our lives. We're trying harder than ever to better our situations... but our lives do not seem to change fast enough.

...and the cycle seems never ending...

DON'T WORRY - SOME GOOD NEWS COMING....

....Whether you are in the Northern USA, West Africa, the UK, China, or in the Philippines....

  • The same situation occurs.

Every time you see someone walk by on the street "with more"... or someone driving by "with a nicer car"...

You don't know their life story. You don't know what struggles they face. It's like an optical illusion.

illusion.png

The illusion is that other people are doing better than me. Other people seemingly have better lives... I'm struggling in this society, meanwhile there are plenty of other people who are not.

....it is NOT true...

OK, @intelliguy... I'm still waiting for your good news -- cause all you are doing is depressing me further.

AHA! -- THE GOOD NEWS IS HERE!

First of all, I can't solve your financial problems, your career troubles, nor give you the sanity you crave to go on another day, doing the same things to try and see a better tomorrow.

WHAT I CAN DO IS THIS:

(In order of importance)

  • Remember WHO you are....

  • Remember your past happy times in your life...

  • Stop what your doing and listen to an old song favorite of yours...

  • Take a break from the cycle of life for one moment... and just pause. Be happy that you've made it through all kinds of trials and tribulations... YOU ARE A SURVIVOR OF TOUGH TIMES

  • Be proud of yourself. Life is not easy. It's not the way any of us expected being an adult would be like when we were children, until we got older, and learned how hard life can be....

  • The fact that you made the decision to click on this post, READ IT.. and get this far into it.. means..

You've got your mind OPEN. Most won't even bother to read a post like this... and they'll just be "too busy"... too busy for what? To repeat their yesterday.... to see another similar tomorrow again.

Take a break for a moment Not for coffee. But take a break from life... even for a few moments.

  • The COST: $0.00

  • The benefit: More than 10 million dollars worth of value.

  • (after you upvote this post - as a thank you) -- Put the keyboard and computer or phone away. Find some music, listen to some. Rest. Look up at the sky. Go for a 20 minute walk. Just relax your soul.

...and that is the good news... once you do this.. you'll realize you had it in your power the entire time to give yourself a break. But you were too busy to do that until now... and when you work too hard, you're hurting yourself. Do not keep doing that without enjoying life and giving yourself breaks when you need them.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and will consider following me for more rare posts I make like this once in awhile.

...but even if you don't -- I don't mind. I just want to help someone like yourself. That's why I wrote this. :)

P.S. If you rarely re-steem something .... re-steem this... so someone else can gain the benefit of what you just saw.

Sort:

The system does have a tight grip on all of us it feels like.

Oddly enough, the first thing that comes to mind after reading this is the "calm" that comes after we get hit by a hurricane down here. It is brief, before we switch to recover mode and thinking crap I hope we saved up enough food and water. But, the power is out... no tv, no electronics, no phones, no work, no school, etc. We have the day to just sit with family and talk, a big change from the usual daily grind. It's also the only time we ever get to see stars in the night sky.

Taking a few minutes to create this same type of "time-out" each day is good. I often wander outside into the garden for a few minutes when the day is hectic. That helps get things back in perspective.

Thank you @steempowerics.....yes the very thought of a power outage can be quite welcome. hehe

What you just wrote, almost sounds poetic. What a very nice thing to share.

I could imagine that calm, exactly as you described it.

I keep saying I'm going to take a day off but it hasn't happened yet. .I got super overwhelmed this week a meditated a couple times...that seems to be helpful.

Greetings @krazykrista. We do appreciate your assistance and presence on Discord....thank you. ^__^

Thank you @intelliguy for this post.

It is of great assistance to recharge the battery in such a way as you have described.......a reality check in a way. smiles....

All the best.

Cheers!

Appreciating the little things in life is crucial to having a happy life. Often times the things we seek takes time and significant sacrifice to obtain. We sometimes forget the reason we want seeking what we seek. Being happy and grateful for what I have now makes life fulfilling. With happy thoughts come better productivity and greater chances of success. Thanks.

I have nothing against true hard work.
I have something against taking a break for yourself. Most of us don't do it often enough

Yes I’m in this camp too

Wise words. We need to enjoy what we have. More stuff won't necessarily make us happier and there are things money can't buy

It almost sounds like song lyrics or a song title. Hmm....

Maybe I'll write that song

You do... I want to hear it. 100%... please come back and let me know it exists.

...and to put weight to this... its times like this... that the greatest songs were ever written and treasured, and make it through decades :)

Thank you for brightening my week :) surely deserves a resteem, everyone are heros of their stories, steem on!

Its easy to lose it in the shuffle of life man, we all have to actively work on finding and being outselves.

I love your post and therefor I WILL resteem it because it is exactly what so many people is lacking in the current chaos

You... are someone I've met ... who is a thinker. (and thinkers... aren't easy to find).

It's a great compliment to me... that you've resteemed this...

....thanks.

you're right about many things and here again. Better adapt to the environment of my living area again getting stricter see more people in real life. and surrounding yourselves by realists more instead of dreamers if you are more logical than social is a good thing probably too i guess. and other way where it gets really passive too but balance will settle itself. Thnx for noticing and share is done.

You're a good man seveaux. I've heard the music you played. It brings life "alive" sometimes. If you know what I mean. It brings energy... you do great work.

Setting the phone down, going to take a break and cuddle the wife. I’m sure she will appreciate that. Thought provoking post!

I read this to the end hoping you could solve my issues..... for me I think the answer lies in the simple absence of self-love

Those are deep rooted issues that take acceptance, approval, and looking forward to the future and not putting as much weight on history.

Wow... that is true. We need a break to better ourselve and dont get a scatter brain. Thank you.

Life is on repeat, but what matters is to screem when it goes faster, lol.

Kinda, but not really. A break is in your control. Just most people won't afford the time for themselves, and they really should.

That is why we should not compare our lives with others. Once we start doing that, happiness flies out of the window.

Actually the point of this post, was..

Happiness is within us.. we just park it, and don't take a break in life because we're too busy.

Taking a break is free. It costs no money to do so for 20 solid minutes. Yet we feel guilty if we do... This post I wrote says, go ahead and steal 20 minutes for yourself... its perfectly fine.

There are always "opportunity costs" for anything we choose to do. If I choose A I didn't choose B, so whatever I might gain from B is lost, not realized - the cost of a missed opportunity.

But who's to say if B is a "cost" or a "gain"? That is the actual value of the opportunity? We usually don't know for certain when we make the choice, or until time passes. So rather than make a choice based on FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), slow down, listen to the message this article conveys and make an informed, rational decision, and stop the paralysis of second guessing yourself.

Nice post intelliguy!
