It's so true. God blesses some, while others choose a different path. It's in our nature to try to do things our way, and so often we discover that things do not work out the way we plan. Everybody serves somebody until their last breath. It's just a matter of who we choose to serve. Will we serve the one who made us and others around us? Or will we go our own way and serve ourselves first? Will we ever truly have rest for our souls?
It reminds me of the words proceeding from the mouth of Yah:
Behold, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you today, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. Deuteronomy 30:15-16
Life is good, death is the enemy. The reward for our faithfulness is eternal life. What an amazing promise! Bless the Most High!
