RE: # Dear Steemian, What Do You Think Can Be Done To Beat Depression?

in #life7 years ago

I also suffered from depression and anxiety problems because of a bad childhood and parenting. My dad was a big pessimist and disliked everything around him. I got really tired from it, and when I broke up with my girlfriend that was the last drop to fill the cup. I had to do something.
I signed into a gym for the beginning, and a older friend of mine was a psychologist. She helped me a lot and the answer to depressed feelings and anxiety is: LET IT BE. Welcome this feelings and dont try anything to do about it. Just live your life. When you are chewing on lifes grizzle, dont grumble, give a whistle! And this will help things turn out to the best, aaand, always look on the bright side of life, tu tu, turu turu turu, always look on the light side of life! tu tu, turu turu turu! Does anybody know this song? :D

Always Look on The Bright Side of Life. Yes observing the thought, rather than getting immersed in it. Mindfulness. Also have "let it be" by Beatles going through my head too. Talk it out, helps so much.
