It depends on how important religion is to the parents. If the parents value religion and live their daily lives according to how scripture wants them to live, then they will set that example for their children. Our children watch us and they parrot our words and actions. So, setting a good example to your children from Day 1 of their lives is so incredibly important. After you set the example as a parent, set a schedule for scripture study with your children or incorporate religious lessons into daily life in ways that they can relate to based upon their age group. Educating your child on anything takes love, patience, and kindness from the adults around them. Education of any kind is important but what education you choose to bestow upon your children is up to you.
