Ugh.........
That was really all I could think of to say after reading this.
I thought maybe I could feel your pain a bit. My situation is not the same and hopefully will have an end in the next month or two, but I changed positions a couple of months ago to get away from answering billing customer service calls for my company. I am burned out on them and have grown to hate them. The new position was not supposed to include anymore phones. Second day into the new position, the new department let the old department "borrow" the 5 of us that moved, to help answer the phones for a few hours as they no longer had enough people answering. I couldn't believe it. That has happened off and on since then. We complained to the new supervisor SO much that our new manager had a meeting with us and "tried" to assure us there would be an end to it, although she could not promise a date "just till the other department hired more people as they are now shorthanded" Nobody had conveyed to us this could be possible and we all thought we had escaped that phone hell. None of us are happy about this awful development as we know the other department couldn't keep a full staff for the last 3 years or so. Ugh......Yesterday I answered phones over half of the business day. I'm holding my breath to see if it really ever ends.
Maybe your next application will be with another company? Sorry that happened to you. Although you tell it funny'ish, I know it has to be a terrible let down.
Aw jeez! I have been in a similar situation before. I got a new job for a different team and my old boss didn't want to let me go and kept borrowing me. I complained and complained but it didn't change until it came to Christmas and my old boss managed to wangle getting me in the office over the festive break and that was me done. So I eventually managed to get is stopped viaa HR but what a fandangle. Dang, I feel your pain more!
That stinks! ....doesn't it?
Yesterday they opened up the offer of overtime for our group (the whole group, not just us five movers}.....I suppose for some unknown reason OUR work is getting behind. 😏 yeah.... so do you think Jacey is signing up for 1 minute of voluntary overtime? Ohhellno !
That is the way to send the message!! I hate that overtime malarkey too when they offer it to suit themselves and when you actually want or need it there is no sign!!
