A Day in The Life: Drink Water

Just A Friendly Reminder To Drink Water

In high school my anatomy and physiology teacher told us that up to 75% of the population of America lives in a constant state of mild dehydration. This stat might be a little off, but how much water did you drink today? The only water I've had all day was the bottle I just shamefully drank before writing this, and I try to consciously drink a lot of water every day. So yeah, don't forget to drink water, and if you just don't drink water, I recommend it, it will improve your life.

Anyway

I can't describe the joy of waking up to the sunshine in the morning. My room was freezing cold, but my first class today was cancelled, so I laid in bed a little bit longer than usual. When I did get up, though, I was very pleasantly surprised to see the sun shining in through my window. As simple as it may be, I love this view in the sun (not so much on a cloudy day). I love the brick buildings that populate this campus and the sun just gives them this look I can't get enough of. The sun did not last all day, but it did warm up to a balmy 40 degrees (Fahrenheit, although it did feel warm compared to the 19 degrees we've been having lately, this is sarcasm) which made for great walking to class weather.

The Long Way

Like I said: I love these brick buildings. Like many other people, I'm the type of person that has a class at 1:30 that is a 10 minute walk, so I leave at 1:25. Yesterday, however, I left a little earlier than usual for unrelated reasons, and I realized that the spaces between the buildings around where I live are really nice. You can see above my four story building dwarfed by the 13 floor dorm next to it. I love walking through this area, and today I gave myself extra time to walk a little slower to enjoy the area. I stopped to take this picture because I just really enjoy this view from the ground.

The Night

Did you think something interesting was going to happen in my night? Well, sorry to disappoint. I have one tall stack of homework to get done this week, but tonight I found an extreme lack of motivation, so I did pretty much none of it. Instead I sat in my bed, watched my roommate play Fortnite for an hour, and did nothing out of guilt for not doing my homework. I took this picture on my way to dinner under the streetlight outside the side door of my building. I always thought this brick wall seemed kind of unnecessary, but when I noticed the building rising behind it I thought it looked very interesting and in some way symbolic. What for? I'm not exactly sure.

I'm really sorry for how lackluster this post is. In my days I usually am struck with thoughts of inspiration that I just really need to share, but in all honesty today was just really average. Future posts will be much more... what's the word?Oh yeah.
Interesting.
Hopefully......
