New Year’s Resolution Of a Spiritual Junkie

in #life7 years ago

I’m not a big fan of labels, so take my article name with a pinch of salt.

Truth be told, I’m just a regular everyday guy trying to raise my frequency to higher level so I can be of real service and stop adding to the fear porn drama which pollutes our lovely Earth.

The moment I’d label myself as spiritual I’d effectively separate myself from that reality, buying into an ego concept (anything separate from Oneness, which can only be illusory mind creation).

Spirituality is not a privilege or something you have to earn. It’s the innate quality of One Consciousness which we all are part of. The only thing that differs is the level of awareness to which you realize it. The fact that most are still completely oblivious to it does not matter one least bit.

This being said, here are my New Year’s resolutions, at least the top ones:

  1. BE KIND RATHER THAN BEING RIGHT

I know. Such a cliche. But in my case it’s a constant reminder. I’m a critically thinking type of guy and usually I can smell BS miles away, but I am too prone to calling it in a way that does no good to anyone. Everyone is at a perfect spot on their journey and I’m not qualified to judge it. And Truth is a wholly subjective matter anyways. So be KIND Janny boy! :)

  1. DITCH THE DISTRACTIONS FOCUS ON MY WORK

Distractions from what? My higher purpose of course. What is higher purpose? The reason what you incarnated on this planet. And that’s reason always contains a greater good, a benefit for all, not just your little person. What are my usual distractions? Instagram & Facebook (with 150k followers just on these two I do have to give it some attention but focus on relevant stuff!), all sorts of 3D matrix drama that really deserves no attention, and the usual carnal desires such as coffee, booze and sex.

  1. BRING THE BODY&MIND DETOX TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Compared to most I’m an extremely healthy person and in my almost 39 years age I feel more fit than when I was 20. But comparisons are good for ego, not your soul. My body is my temple and the most direct gateway to Primary Creator or whatever you choose to call the big Mama Universe. After few transcending experiences I am fully aware that body & mind & spirit are closely related. Enlightenment is a physical phenomena! And so I’ll continue my detox to the next level, focusing on Decalcification of pineal gland, which is THE most important gland in your body, and physical embodiment of your third eye. There’s a reason why they put flouride in the water although it is a dangerous poison and the health of your teeth is NOT it. Do your research bros and sistas!

No more beers at the hairdresser’s! :)

  1. BE MORE ACTIVE ON STEEMIT

I’m a busy guy: artist, traveler, yogi, entrepreneur. But who is not. It’s all about time management. I’ve been on and off here in 2017 and this year the big commitment is to be perma-ON.

  1. BRING MY ART TO THE NEXT LEVEL

This one goes without saying. Creating uplifting art is WHY I came on this planet at this crucial time of Great Awakening. Primary portion of my daily efforts have to keep on going towards perfecting my skills and painting diligently.

  1. GIVE MORE

To charities. To my blood family. To my crypto family. To my human family. To my starseeds Light family. Give back to the force that created me and the whole Life. Gratitude is the key and Presence is the means!

May you h healthy and happy in 2018 and beyond!

Truly Yours,

Jan

Excellent goals. I love your art work. One of mine is to be super active on Steemit as well. It should get bigger and better on Steemit this year. Especially if the Steemit price holds above $5. I look forward to seeing more and more of your work. 👍

Thanks @mazzle ! Steem and good beer, that won't go away :D All the best to you!

Interesting thoughts. Ive been contemplating the new year but I want to make changes that I can continue with. Starting is easy. Staying the course is hard.

I think I have a very different belief system to you. I believe that we should never separate spirituality from the physical world.

That we should the savor pleasures of the body in a spiritual way and that self-denial is a path that leads to feelings of superiority and then to a dark place.

But we each have our own path to follow. Hail and well met fellow traveller.

@humanzee thanks for your comment. I specifically said that body&mind&spirit are closely related, so I'm not sure where you got your idea of me believing in separation. As a matter of fact my view on life is for over a decade something that I could sum up like this: There is no separation, besides in the illusion of the mind. Everything in existence is connected, actually the life itself is proof of interconnectedness of all things. I highlight that in most of my "spiritual" posts, which are many. Also, your label of "self-denial" is definitely not something I fancy. I am very much with Osho in this and again, as I said- body IS the direct gateway to Primary Creator, not it's inhibitor (or was it in my previous post earlier today?). Any self-denial is ultimately not the right choice. What I talk about is restraining the distractions to my higher purpose. That does not mean that I will not have sex or beer or coffee anymore. But I won't have it every day and at every whim of my ego. Ego gratification is the easiest way under the sun and can easily convince anyone that it's the right way, because ego is the smartest cloak/role changer under the sun. Lastly, my resolutions are pretty much the same every year and do not mean a radical change anymore. I've been on this path since my twenties, so I know that I am choosing something I can sustain, not a fantasy. All this being said, I appreciate your comment and time and I follow you now. Have a great year bro! :)
P.S. "Belief system" is a hindrance to real growth because "belief" is product of mind, which needs to be eventually transcended to reach "wisdom", which is not ours, we just tap into it. I do not believe. I either know or don't know. And by knowing I am talking about direct experience, not something that I "think or agree with". Much Love!

Ah thanks for explaining. I misunderstood you. I lived for as long time in Byron Bay and I saw the worst side of would-be gurus and yoginis. I have no answers, but being able to laugh at yourself and gratitude keep me grounded. Osho had a great sense of humour and avoided the ascetic trap. I look forward to reading your work.

Ya bro I hear you. There's a whole book about the traps of the spiritual quest from Chongyam Trungpa called "Cutting through spiritual materialism". It really cuts deep into the subject of spirituality, which is supposed to dissolve what I call "Personhood" (Identification with self-created idea of who you are), but in many cases it serves the opposite- boosts the ego of so called "spiritual people" (I am more than you, I understand what you don't etc.). That's why I started talking about the labels right off the bat. Thanks for your comment, I love people who take time to read! All the best!

Such a beautiful blog love @jankasparec. Love your visions and realisation you wrote here! 2018 must be an amazing year for both of us❤️

YES! Great goals for the year! and death to flouride! ;) I was using a mineral solution that neutralizes it for a long time, and it made a HUGE diference. It's pretty evil stuff!
