In this life, people are going to take advantage of your heart, they're going to ride on it, break it, smash it and drag it all over the floor and you'd still forgive them, even when they don't ask it.
While you still ache of the hurts, you reach out to them, bleeding, heavy and feeling wronged.
People will leave you to build all the bridges in relationships because they've seen how your heart needs to connect and feel in order to survive unlike them, who hardly care what happens.
You'll say sorry even when you're wronged. You say sorry not because you're truly sorry because you never did anything to be sorry about, but to teach, through condemning yourself, the other party the act of accepting responsibility and that in that word lies a soothing power that can blur away even the deadliest of wrongs.
You'll say sorry for peace to reign, to placate people and to be able to move on with your life without that rancor, living and not speaking to each other or that bitterness that exists between two people that drains you totally.
You'll be hurt
You'll say sorry
You'll ask for forgiveness
You'll condemn yourself

You'll love again and again with a worn tattered heart not because you're a weakling or afraid of being alone but because without your emotions, you'd be like every other person, bland and unfeeling. Because without your emotions, this world would be a room full of rancor and bitterness, hatred and snobs.
You're salt
You're light
You keep the earth in balance
You're me
You're every other person out there like this.

Dear Emotional Person,
You're not a weakling even though you cry over hurts, you're in fact stronger than most persons because in accepting your wrong and making atonements lies great strength and even greater strength and brevity of mind in saying sorry for others.
A time will come when you have to stand your ground and say no, you'd know when that time comes, even the heavens will know and you'll do what's right.
For now, you're me; loving, hurting, forgiving, smiling. And making the world go round.
Sometimes, we try to convince ourselves that we're younger than our actual ages, so we never think of our age and we even try to forget the real age. And when another year wounds up and another birthday is approaching, we're sunk into depression on the anticipation of that brutal reminder.
Sometimes we try to convince ourselves that we're not struggling, so we wear our best cloths, hang out with friends, take pictures in exotic places and splash it all over social media so that maybe, we can, even for a moment, forget the real life that awaits us.

Sometimes we try to convince ourselves that we're not so lonely and alone and that our relationships are not so terrible, so we grab any little chance we can with people, hugging and saying 'I love you too', but at nights, we cry and wet our pillows, praying that the day may come fast.
Sometimes, we try to convince ourselves that we're not so depressed, nor sad and given to failures, so we write and write, funny things. We write about sex and the frivolities of life, post it on social media, hoping to escape the sadness that claws at our souls in all the comments and smileys.
Sometimes we're just here, ourselves, trying not to look like the life we live, trying to be better and not be overcome by the weight of the moment.
Totally agree, sometimes the best way to live is for yourself, doesnt mean selfishness should be your goal but it simply means putting yourself first should be a major priority. I love you is kinda become a dilluted line these days, people just say it because its verbally fashionable rather than because there is a need to express true feelings by it. One must first learn to love oneself before that person is capable of understanding how to share that love. You cant give what you dont know so if you dont know how to be happy you cant make someone else happy, you mite try but the effects wont be as lasting as intended. Great post.
I totally agree with you, it becomes clearer everyday and I see it as a growth process learning to handle situations that are filled with intense emotions, some people are well aware of others vulnerability in such situations and just manipulate these people by turning them into prays, not that they are not aware of the situation that they find themselves but they try to do something good like saying sorry even when they are not at fault or going all out to get sad experiences out the window not really concerned about how much effects in could have on them. It would have been very easy to act like everyone else by having no emotions to how their actions affect the next person but some people are just not wired that way. Expressing love should come naturally it doesn’t stop anyone from experiencing self-love.
