If East Indonesia has Raja Ampat Papua, then West Indonesia has Anambas Islands in Riau Archipelago. Anambas Islands has 238 islands, and newly inhabited only about 40 islands. Apparently in West Indonesia has a natural beauty like in Eastern Indonesia. Of the many islands in Anambas, there is one island that became my favorite. namely Penjalin Island, the island is rather unique because it looks from outside the island like other ordinary islands, which makes it unique when we are down the middle of the island there is a road to the middle of the bay. as it enters the valley and turns out to be a vast expanse of beach amidst the island. Local fishermen actually named Pulau Penjalin and the surrounding islands with the "Seven Island Cluster," as it consists of seven adjacent islands. The pengjalin itself consists of two, namely Pulau Penjalin Besar and Pulau Penjalin small. Both are equally charming but have their own characteristics and uniqueness.
This bay, by anyone who ever traces, is considered as an exposed point. The water is clear as crystals, which when the weather is brightly lit, the expanse of water sprinkles dark blue and bright green. Basically, no visible dirt though, except the stretch of sand and coral reefs. In this bay also, usually the visitors feel at home for long. Sunbathing, bathing, swimming to play on the sand surface. Or just take a walk down the bay to the side of the rock-shaped edge. Some often spend time sitting relaxed, letting their bodies in the sea breeze while enjoying the view in front of. From this bay, the small Penjalin Island on the South side looks beautiful, surrounded by a blue link and surrounded by a pile of stones scattered along its shores.
Other activities that visitors often do here are snorkeling and scuba diving. All angles in these waters offer superb underwater scenery. Various studies say, coral reefs in this region categorized well, both from the spread and the variety. The flat reef or terrestrial formation extends as far as 100 meters to the coastline with a depth of one to ten meters. In the deeper part, there are coral and gorgonian walls and coralaneka colors, where life and the growth of fish and other marine biota.
Acropora, Lobophylia, Pocillopora, Porites, with various hues and colors such as table corals, branched corals and brain corals, dominate this area of the water. Since 2007, when Anambas is still a part of Natuna Regency, the cluster of Penjalin Island and its surrounding waters, it has been designated as a marine park conservation area. Until no wonder if the coral reefs in this area happening habitat and kealamiannya until now.
Pulau Penjalin Kecil itself, like the Great Penjalin Island, is not less beautiful. Expanded by 0.8467 Km2, most of its surface is filled with highly abstract abundant natural rocks. Some of them, spread on the land, share the place with shrubs and coconut trees. While sekipantai, almost entirely dionggoking stone. There is a small cove in the southern part of the island, whose surface is adorned with white sandy beaches. Not long, but it looks unique. Moreover, along the edge of the end, surrounded by large rocks partially piled up to the surface of the water. Rows of coconut trees that stand dashing on the sidelines of trees and shrubs, adding perfect exotic island.
In addition to swimming, snorkeling, diving and fishing, other activities that are often done by visitors on this tiny island is trekking tracking hilltop. Track tracks are quite challenging and when it reaches its peak, can freely look at the stretch of blue sea and islands around the fantastic. One more additional info, if you walk along the hilltop, occasionally you will meet the trees mango and orange. Hmm, although dominated by rock hills, this island is indeed a fertile land. No wonder the old time, known as one of the centers of mango and jelly producers in the Anambas Islands.
@jarat These photographs are breathtaking and I love how you included the story of the islands with them. It was as if I was reading a traveler's guide to a nice vacation spot! Very nicely done!
