#1 Camera Phones
Do you enjoy having a mini computer in your pocket (AKA your smartphone)? Do you enjoy the ability to take crisp pictures with that little camera built into it? Whether you hate or love the selfies/billions of phone pictures these days, you have to admit, developing such a tiny camera couldn’t have been easy. It wasn’t. Back in the 1990s, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in California had to figure out how to create small enough cameras with scientific quality to fit inside spacecrafts. Because of their ingenuity, 1/3 of all cameras use this type of technology today.
