Did you know apart from quality entertainment, reading books can help you gain perspective on your life too? There are times when you are going through a very rough time and you feel like this bumpy ride is never ending and you have lost all your energy to deal with it.
It can be hard to bring yourself out of such complex emotions and negative thoughts on your own, but reading about someone who went through a similar situation and how they handled it will definitely help you figure out how to deal with such situation. There are many ways reading books is very beneficial for us and how it gives our life a completely new perspective.
When we read books we gain knowledge from thousands of peoples and we can go back in time through the book without having to live in that time. We only live our life for a limited time period but we can live more than ten times our age through books.
Time traveling is not possible yet but through books it is. You feel like you are opening doors to the past or the future when you read about it. It doesn’t matter how old you are when it comes to gaining knowledge from the books. Knowledge gained from books enhances your thinking power in every field and improves your vocabulary at the same time to a greater extent.
Reading boosts analytical thinking skills along with giving you a better perspective on life. A reader improves general knowledge and analytical thinking. A reader’s brain is constantly asking questions while reading. We encounter struggles and different situations all the times.
We seem to stand at a closed door with no way to go back. We try to find answers to questions and mysteries that we come across while reading books way before it is answered in the book. We also apply analytical thinking skills learned as a result of reading in real life by letting our minds open up to new horizons and to think in nontraditional and unconventional ways. As a byproduct of reading we are able to spot patterns and find solutions quicker.
Reading helps you connect with people and understand everyone’s perspective because it makes you more open minded. The more you know about something the better you understand it and it is a result of reading books. You become more emphatic and more understanding after reading about a different character fighting their battles. You become a better listener and can efficiently participate in conversations when you find a common ground with people. The more you read, the more you learn and when you learn more you can get better at referencing, and feel comfortable speaking up about different subjects.
Reading books motivates you in your life. Sometimes books have a greater impact on our lives. Even living people cannot motivate us to the extent books does.
We feel like we are stuck at a point in life and there is no way out but after reading something that clicks and all of a sudden it gives you ability and courage to move ahead in life. When we read books, after reading about the struggles of our favorite characters and how they dealt with those struggles we learn lessons for our personal lives as well.
Reading book takes you into a new world of wonders. Where you can see everyone and everything but nobody can see you. Your wish for being “disappeared for a day” comes true this way. It opens up your mind to a completely different world. There are no limitations and logically explains required because you feel like you are part of a different world.
You can vividly create a better picture in your mind based on what you read compared to actually seeing something similar in reality.
Your creativity increases as a result of reading books. You can think about possibilities that you wouldn’t otherwise think are possible. It introduces you to all kinds of characters that you probably couldn’t always meet in real life.
Reading increases your intelligence because the more you read the more you get better at it. In order to be good at writing you definitely need to have a strong knowledge base. Reading is an excellent way to take you where you’re wanting to go. It doesn’t only make you a better writer but it improves your creativity in other fields of life.
Reading helps you remember things better. You actively create connections while you are reading and you can always figure out things quickers if you use this technique in real life. The more you use your brain the better it gets at remember and recalling information. It helps your memory to remember things that you tend to forget quicker because it improves your observation.
Reading books is an amazing way to escape the reality but it also helps you a lot when you come back to reality. The knowledge you gain and the emotions you go through while you read a book stay with you and give you a completely different perspective on your life.
books are good and help see the world from a different point which enriches your wprld view and knowledge about life, they also open your mind and help you learn
Thanks inspiratif @jasimg good posts
I recently bought two books and I am completely engrossed in them, to the point where I’ve been missing lectures because of them.
But what they do to you is increase your vocabulary rather than knowledge, from my point of view, because I read mainly fantasy genre books. But I also agree that it helps you imagine and boosts creativity, if you create a picture in your mind of what you are reading.
Reading allows me to detach from mental overdrive, so that Silence and Peace can come in, both of which are the source of all well-conceived solutions. And as you said, we learn to pay attention to details by observing from the outside as the reader instead of being directly involved in the story.
I read a lot, and I prefer reading books as books instead of reading them on a computer or Ipad, because holding a book in my hands contributes strongly to my reading experience, degree of detachment from my surroundings, and overall focus on the occupation itself..:)

thank you for you blog post.
Couldn't agree more! I'm finally returning to reading and I am much less stressed and find myself looking forward to my book more than checking my phone. Thanks for the post!
