The Police
In the US, the subject of the police has diminished. Our country went through a time where we were examining police procedures, to explain the many unjust deaths. It was almost a daily conversation because of the daily videos being released. These videos gave people an insight of what egregious actions were being taken by officers.
I would be see these videos and it would upset me to the point were I would not trust any officer with that type of power. I have not heard of many changes to police procedures since this period. I began to wonder what can we do to help this terrible situations. It is extremely hard to change indualivials, trying to change and control the actions of individuals is complex.
Police officer blame the individuals and the community blames the officer. Teams are formed and as a tribal society we continue to fight each other, even through we are both part of the community. It's a dysfunctional couple living in the same house without either one trying to help the other create a solution. As a community we can’t get a divorce and move out.
When police officers makes terrible decisions, I see behavior health issues not a racist(I know people do have race issues). An officer that does not have full control of their emotion and is not detached from the situation will make a bad decision. If you look at bad decisions within companies, individuals, or war you can pretty much see the same logic. It is hard to get control of these natural emotions but, that is no excuse.
Is this a solution to this major problem, maybe.
Is there more to the story, yes
