Everyone that knows me knows that I love science fiction and horror movies.
I've been trying to do one review just about every day because I've been watching horror movies every night before I go to bed lately.
Last night I went with a standard slasher flick I never seen before.
It's a remake of an old movie called Black Christmas that came out in 1974.

This holiday season the slay ride begins.
With an intro like that you know it's going to be a standard slasher flick.... and it definitely is.
The original Black Christmas came out in 1974 and has a 7.2 on IMDb. It was pretty well received.
I remember watching a long time ago but I can't remember much about it.
Everyone associated with movies these days is always in the market to reboot or remake any movie that ever came out anytime ever....... ever.
Black Christmas fits into this mold so it was remade despite the fact that it was a pretty good movie to begin with.
The Remake was panned by pretty much everyone. It has a 4.6 on IMDb.

It stars nobody that I've ever heard of before.
Well that's not exactly true. I've definitely seen the house mother in a couple of other things like B movies.
She was also in the original Black Christmas movie.
So what's it about?
A bunch of sorority girls on Christmas are about to get attacked by a serial killer.
He has a bunch of strange motives that are twisted and had a really bad childhood.
He's about to take it out on these girls and take back his house...... which happens to be the house they're all living in.
It's not going to be pretty.
Honestly I think this is a pretty fun slasher flick. If you like slasher flicks you should definitely enjoy this one.
There's nothing particularly amazing going on here but I wouldn't say it sucks. In fact I'd say it's a pretty good movie for what it is.
If you looking for a fairly average slasher flick then Black Christmas the remake should definitely fit the bill nicely.

I’m fan of sci-fi horror movies. As long as I don’t fall asleep after 10 min I can rate it as a descent movie as you mentioned not great but it’s fairly average slasher flick.
