Today our district manager came to visit us. He is not a very friendly guy.
First of all...... the man is gigantic and all he wants to do is talk about weight lifting.
Well that's not exactly true...... in addition to weight lifting he wants to talk about what a bad job everyone is doing.
As soon we see him everyone immediately gets their feathers ruffled and gets into a fighting mode.

As a matter of fact as soon as I got to work today I noticed him sitting at a back table....... and immediatly had to try my best to stay in a reasonably good mood.
Fortunately we were very busy today so he didn't have a lot of time to do anything except for watch us work.
Since I'm a trainer....... watching me work is a good thing. I know that I do an excellent job serving my tables.
Before I left today my general manager told me that the district manager was very pleased my performance and he thought that I was an excellent employee.
"Woah" l I thought to myself.
Can you believe that?
Nothing negative to say about me? He always has something negative to say about everyone.
"By the way..... he says your shirts aren't white enough and he wants you to buy all new shirts."

These shirts are at least $15 each. If I have to buy new shirts then I'm definitely going to be buying two of them which means I need to throw down $30 that I wouldn't have had to throw down if this guy hadn't shown up.
I actually got off easy though.
Several of the servers were ready to get in a fist fight with him because he had so many negative things to say about them. He actually didn't have anything negative to say about me except that he wanted me to get whiter shirts.
Actually, when I left the bartender was standing on a giant ladder brushing the bottom of the TVs in the bar with a little toothbrush.
I was lucky to be able to get out of my shift and leave without having to get down on my hands and knees and clean every little part of the restaurant.
Also........ I got a good review. I don't even think anybody else got a good review except for me.
Will I be happy buying new shirts?
No..... but I'll take it.

That's a pretty close approximation of what actually happened.
Energy is everything and it is so easy to have someone with an aggressive energy walk into a room and turn it all upside down. Sounds like you had your Bruce Lee Mojo on and brought in some balance with your own vibration. Good for you! ⭐️

The white shirt reminded me when I wanted to get my shirt whiter I put it in the bucket with bleach and little bit of water 50/50. The next day the shirt disappeared. Lesson learned.
Now you see.......... I thought about bleaching my shirts but you have to be very careful. I'm certainly not a master at that kind of thing and I wouldn't want to lose these shirts.
Wow that sounds like a bad place to work, not sure I could put up with it, scratch that, nope no way I could put up with it full stop. Going to work should be fun and not like a prison, who do you work for?

I appreciate you saying that....... but I don't think most people love their jobs. I work at a restaurant and for the most part I don't hate it but once in a while something like this comes up. Fortunately he's not there everyday.
It is good he is not there every day, but to tell you you have to buy a whiter shirt even, is insulting, you represent them, so they should be buying it for you, I want everyone to do well, we only get one shot at this life thing, and respect is expected equally, and to me it sounds like this guy has real ego problems, and needs to give out more respect, I always got way more productivity from employees by complimenting them, not putting them down. Peace my friend, all good things come to those that wait, and it will come to you also my friend.
