Hey!!
Today I'll write about a subject very important, the sleep. I think everyone here already felt addicted to writing posts for Steemit at least one time . We always try to give the best for this community and be consistent (I personally try to write at least one post a day). And in many cases the only time to write posts is when we get home , at the end of the day. The problem is: to get a good post it is necessary time to think, write correctly and organize well our ideas. Sometimes to do this we ignore sleep, but it is fundamental.
Sleep is an essential well-being for any human and is a very important element of our health. But unfortunately, there are still many people who don't sleep enough and as a consequence suffer from sleep disorders, the worst of it is that there are few cases that are diagnosed and treated.
Another very common problem is daytime sleep, which is very much practiced by people who stay at night surfing in the Internet. So they sleep so much during of the day, that their daily activities are affected.
How long should we sleep?
The recommended time for sleeping depends of person to person. Overall, the advised is 8 hours sleep. But sometimes there are people who need to sleep a little more, and people who can't sleep as much (in their cases are recommended at least 6 hours of sleep).
Consequences of not Sleeping
The main and most worrying consequences of not sleeping are driving accidents. Did you know that on average there are 100,000 accidents, 71,000 injuries and 1,550 deaths caused by falling asleep driving in the United States? It's really worrying!!
How to get good sleep?
There are some techniques that are advised to get a good night sleep:
- Have a regulated sleep (always sleep the same time).
- Between 4 and 6 hours before going to sleep avoid using caffeine and during the day try to minimize the consumption of it.
- Do not smoke or drink alcohol for a few hours before sleeping.
- Do exercise regularly.
- Minimize noise and light when you go sleeping.
- Try to wake up without an alarm clock.
- During the early days go to sleep a little earlier than usual (VERY IMPORTANT).
what is your ideal sleep length?
My ideal is 9 hours, but most days I can only sleep 7 or 8 hours.
Amazing post Jesseca!!!
