I was in Honduras a few years back. I asked one of the women working a booth where a trash can was. She took my trash and chucked it down the mountain side... It’s so sad when this is the norm in a country. I wish the people in the countries that could do something about it cared enough to change it. It’s so destructive.

Truly saddening, I see such disrespect everyday
I love walking down the river near my house but it is filled with plastic 😞
Thanks for commenting 👍
You could pick it up everyday and come back to the same or more the next. I never really thought about how big of a problem it is until I watched that dirty diaper fly over the mountain side. It’s not degradable! But, I peered over to see the entire valley below filled with trash and realized that there is nothing set up in this area to properly dispose of trash.
I’m glad to see you bring awareness to this and I wish you the best of luck in bringing change.
Thank you 😁
That is very sweet of you, truly a problem which is rooted in human psychology!
And I wish you the best in becoming Steemit's next big awareness advocate, go @jewels3!
Ha ha. I try where I can. 😉
