When you tell others that you want to earn a lot of money, the first thing come into their mind is: you are materialistic and you want to live a luxurious lifestyle.
However, this is not entirely correct.
Money is not everything, but you can't do anything without money.
Imagine a young fresh graduates who go to her girlfriend house for the first time and the conversation becomes awkward when the parents discuss about when to buy a house.
Love can be as simple as you want it to be but marriage is different.
Love can be sustained even if you are poor but marriage is different.
Marriage need to face with reality.
You need a house to build your own family.
You need to let the parents of your girlfriend have confidence in you.
You need to let your family believe that you have the ability to take care of your wife and kids.
You have social responsibility as a father and breadwinner.
Do you willing to compromise the education of your kids because of financial issue?
Do you willing to compromise the medical treatment of your kids or parents because of financial issue?
Parents are getting old faster than you think.
Sometimes, money can be a sign of filial as well, companion alone is not enough.
If you have sufficient money, you can always support your parent financially.
If you never experience someone you loved fall sick and desperately need a huge sum of money, you won't understand the importance of being financially strong.
Why should we earn more money when we are young?
It is not because of we want to be rich people.
It is not because of we want to have a luxurious lifestyle.
It is not because of we want to own a Ferrari or Tesla.
It is not because of we want to live in a poolside bungalow.
This is because someday,
I can bring my parents travel around the world.
I can take care of my loved and give them the best medical treatment and education services.
I can proudly tell them: Dear, don't worry, I got your back.
