* Weekly Game Plan #2 *

in #life7 years ago

Welcome to week 2.

Batman game plan.gif

Every Sunday I will be posting my aims for the coming week.

This is a great way to organise your thoughts and come up with a great game plan.

My progress from last week has gone well.

I got all the small jobs out of the way which has freed me up to concentrate on bigger things.

I have had a little time learning about markdown but my attention has turned to the coming bitcoin fork.

I am very new to crypto investing and I only just heard about the fork this week. It appears to be a great opportunity so I am learning as much as I can.

After a lot of research I now have an Electrum wallet where I am going to store my small amount of bitcoin until the dust settles.

I have spent loads of time with my sons and it was quality time. One was off school for a day so I spent most of it with him.

I have been re reading about affiliate marketing to refresh my memory.

Small amount of planning for my house renovation.

I stuck to my exercise routine.

So all in all I kept to my plan despite life's curve balls.

This week beginning 23/10/2017 I will be doing the following.

  1. Work wise I have a few big project I want to get underway so I will concentrate on planning and organising materials.

  2. I still cannot quite grasp markdown so I will continue my education.

  3. I have started a series of posts on how to set up a woodworking business. I will be continuing to write these and I really do want to provide quality content so I will spent enough time doing these.
    Here is the first post,

  4. House renovation. I will continue working out the schedule for this and start costings.

  5. Exercise. I will keep up the momentum this week and carry on with my routine.

  6. Lots of things planned to do with my sons this week, which will be a lot of fun.

Lots to do I had better get on with it.

sounds good to me.gif

Feel free to check out my progress every Sunday.

I would love to hear any comments and suggestions from you.

Many thanks,
@jist

Good goals and post in general. I guess I inspired you a little?

I give you one advice about goals which I have from the book "Mastery" by Robert Green:

Focus on one thing only.

That means don't get sidetracked by information that is not related to your goals. If you want success here on Steemit you should ignore any other cryptocurrency otherwise you will not get an in-depth understanding of Steemit.

I see my friends getting sidetracked by all kinds of altcoins and bitcoin and they spread their attention everywhere and make no visible progress.

I wasn't surprised when @Futuristgear wrote that all altcoins are going downhill but damn it made me laugh because it validated my point that you need to focus & ignore/block all other unrelated information.

If I was you I would stop learning affiliate marketing and focus on Steemit. Affiliate marketing is 2007. Steemit is 2016!

Anyway, that is your choice, but limiting your goals and getting rid of all unrelated info should greatly help you in reaching your goals :)

2 More Quotes from Mastery:

“People around you, constantly under the pull of their emotions, change their ideas by the day or by the hour, depending on their mood. You must never assume that what people say or do in a particular moment is a statement of their permanent desires.”

“The time that leads to mastery is dependent on the intensity of our focus.”

Thanks, and yes seeing your progress has inspired me and no doubt others. You are keeping it real as well. That is the great thing about steemit I am reading all these different perspectives on life.

I have wanted to create on going posts since I began because, like you have pointed out, It forces you to step up to the plate.

I agree about staying focused. Cryptocurency is a side hobby at the moment and I am gathering all the information so I can make an informed decision. I started reseaching investing which led me to find steemit.

I still think there is life in Affiliate marketing and this is the perfect place. I will be testing it in future posts.

Point taken though and I will be narrowing my field of vision as time goes on.

Thanks man

No problem, I will help you with your goals whenever I can. I know how affilate marketing works as my websites $$$ comes from affiliate marketing.

What I haven't figured out is paid advertisement because you need to focus solely on that to understand it + learning that stuff costs a lot of money.

By the way man, come to the chat now if you have time, I wanted to ask you a couple of things.

Thanks. Massive subject and lots of different techniques.

Very encouraging, keep up the momentum.
One of my favorite quotes that was beat into my head as a child is:

"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

And you sir, have a plan.

Thanks. Good words to live by.I think I need to refine it but these things have to evolve sometimes.
