Tattoos? What's your opinion? Do you have any?

The ever so controversial tattoo!

From a young age i was brought up around tattoo's, my dad had one since i can remember and they had always been something i knew i wanted to get when i was older? But how do you decide? I mean it's there for life? What if they look weird when you're older? Well you only live once and you cant live your life thinking WHAT IF and ever since i have been a tattooaholic!

My first tattoo was strictly to mark getting out of a horrific situation and marking that i can do it. I can be a stronger person and beat whatever is in front of me and i felt that this realisation deserved a marking and something to represent what i have overcome!

Freshly done. 10 minutes after :)

My second Tattoo was a big one as it was a while since my first and i asked my mam if she would pay for my tattoo for my birthday and after some humming and haring i decided to send a local tattoo artist a few ideas i had and she designed me something incredible and a total one off as she handed me the drawing over too so no one else could take the design!

Lines all compete.... colour next...

All complete, washed and healed

Then from then it just escelated and here's a few of my newer editions....

Alice in wonderland... Half done...

Complete....

There's a fair few more but i don't want to bore you all hah. The next one is by far the most Controversial one that i have. My mam has always said that under no circumstances am i allowed to get my neck or hands tattooed and i had thought about it a lot and i wanted a very realistic rose either on my neck or on my hand and after some debate, convincing and some serious sucking up my mam finally agreed to let me get my neck tattooed. I said i wanted a small, realistic rose done and well... The tattooist slipped ;) that's my excuse and what i am sticking to, hah! This is by far my favourite and best tattoo that i have!

So there you have it..... You've seen mine now show me yours/ tell me your opinions! I'm interested to hear what YOU THINK??

Enjoy life in the meantime my friends & remember if you cant love yourself, love others around you.
But....

Sort:

Some say we don’t like ourselfs much, so we go get tattoos, pierces and crazy haicuts. I think they’re beautiful! A person only gets a tatt on themselfs and nobody else. As long as you have them, nobody should give you negativity for it. Take care 🙂

Thank you for your kind words. I have all of those listed, i have a fair few piercings, crazy hair and a fair few tattoos hah and I agree with you and i believe that tattoo's are indeed beautiful. I feel that we aren't hurting others and there's many other ways to express yourself, this way is the prettiest and expressive way of doing so. Pleasure for ourselves and for others to look at.

All the best :)

Slipped eh!!!! I gave up the fight because I knew I wasn't going to win not just against of you but your little sister too. 2 of you on my back is a nightmare hahah xx

So how are we looking on the Jess want's her hand's tattooed front? ;) xx

Never going to happen hun, that is one battle I will win :)

I'll never stop trying heh ;) x

You won't win this one x

Tattoos are part art, partly personal, and also a scar. I never have regretted getted tatted since I think they help reveal who I am. It seems that you feel the same way.

I agree totally. They're a complete freedom of expression and i like to show my individuality via using my body as a canvas.
Your tattoos are very very good. Thank you ever so much for sharing them with me!

I think your tats are lovely. I feel strongly that a tat should really mean something if your going to put it on your body, and its your human right to do with your body what ever you wish. I have one tattoo that is a Military tat. Although I have intentions to get plenty more in the years to come!

Thank you very much. I agree, i have one that i got on a whim and although i still love it and i don't regret it but i do look sometimes and wish i filled it with something a little more meaningful but i guess it represents a lesson learned :) i hope to see your future tattoo's

I just followed you. When I get one I'll make it a point to show you ;)

I look forward to it. I have followed you also :)

Thank you ;)

It is a bugger when the needle slips for the first time in the artist's life. Such a small slip, you can hardly see it.
I think I must agree with Mum, the body is one thing, most of it can be covered up, face and hands are something else.
You could try for something like this?

or maybe

don't forget

I know it was such a traumatic experience ;) It seems that maybe my hands are out of the question as i feel i may start a a war that i cant win... mam is in charge after all ;)

Your dam right :)

Or so i let you think....;)

Who is paying? That makes Mum the boss.

Here are my tattoos. I haven't had any done since 1991 but will get some more done soon.

Thank you for sharing these with me! They're impressive for being 26 years old... They're older than me and I'm not in such condition haha. What's your next one going to be?

I have designed a tribute to my mum so that will be the next one.mum tattoo.png

Wow that is truly gorgeous. Make sure to log back on and show me when it's all done :)

Take care.

I was raised to look down on "tats" in a way...but as I've gotten older, I think they've become a lot more accepted in main stream. I.WANT.ONE. and soon I will have. :)

Oh i am sorry i did not see this message! I am sorry that i have not replied until now.
I agree that tattoos have became more accepted and they're more mainstream more than they ever have been. I live in a place where it's strange if you see someone that doesn't have a tattoo opposed to seeing someone that does.
Times change and people move with the times :)

What are you thinking about getting done?

My son has tattoo. I like it. Tattooing can be a beautiful art form but it is not for me personally. I love seeing other folks beautiful tats though.

I can understand why you would not want one but it's always refreshing to hear that despite not wanting one, you can enjoy other peoples as some people are dead set against them :)

Thank you very much for your message :)
