While visiting Cambodia, I was saw a really awesome idea that is being implemented in areas of poverty.
They are taking plastic water bottles, and instead of sending them to a landfill, they are used them to build homes and other buildings!
These water bottled are filled with sand and stuck between two layers of chickenwire, and then plastered over with clay or mud, or any other adhesive.
Awesome initiative that both benefits the poor who gain a nearly free building, and simultaneously reduce the amount of trash going to landfill.
