When we had our first born, Jonathan's cousin & now wife texted us & said "we're coming over to babysit. You guys go get out & don't come back for a few hours". Isn't that the sweetest gift?? (I say yes, yes it is... at least for us parent type).
I couldn't remember the last time we had just gone on a tiny little adventure sans the kiddo & it couldn't have been more perfect. It was a warm summer evening, but a cool breeze (strong prairie breeze blowing in). We hit up a local coffee shop, grabbed some lattes (because - parents of tiny humans don't sleep much) & went to the liquor store & picked up some small little sample cans of beer). We drove out of the city, found a sweet spot, parked the SUV & just watched the sun set while we talked & drank out beverages. Kind of an odd mix now that I think of it, but heck. We were free for a few hours to just be with each other, on a date, kid free!
It was such a great memory, & I plan to return the favor to our friends of tiny babies, so they can do the same! It was such a blast & a true gift to us that we will cherish for a long time.

Hmm
mm..... I love that your story..... It's good having you here..... Bravo
Thanks so much! :D
You are welcome dear
Now this is perfectly romantic - Sounds like something my husband and I would do with just a few hours without the kids. How old are yours? We have a 2 and 4 year old. Never a dull moment -- they are so much fun. Time as parents comes naturally, but you often have to find time for your marriage. You have great friends and family looking after you all as parents and a couple. ❤️
Thank you, yes it's so true. It really was perfectly romantic & I love how it felt more spontaneous because we didn't really go out with any set plans. Nice! Our kiddos are 7 months and 2.5 years! They are great little siblings & are really love each other. I'm excited to watch them grow up together! :D
