We have all heard stories of women giving birth in random places like highways, bathroom stalls, but this is my first time coming across a story like this. Not saying it hasn't happened before, but it is a first for me.
Dr. Sij Hemal, a second-year urology resident delivered a baby 35,000 feet in the air when a woman went into labor on a flight from Paris to New York.
I have read cases where women have delivered without knowing they were actually giving birth. Instances where they were actually in the bathroom at times.
I know nothing of how it must feel or what it must be like, but I do know that women always say it is the most beautiful experience they have gone through. Besides the excruciating pain they must endure.
I can only imagine this to be a wonderful experience for all members on the plane who helped. Just looking at picture above you can tell she is somewhat fatigued, but displaying a smile that is worth a thousand words.
Down below is a little clip from CNN with more to the happy ending flight from Paris to New York.

Ohh that's good news...and it's even more good that's both of them are safe and happy...:)
But this would be really a dangerous situation when there would not be any doctor...the lady was really lucky there...:)
good news i am glad to hear that both are safe Stay happy have a nice day
That baby will be recognise as international citizen.
This is incredibly wow, the doctor should be given an humanitarian award by the airline, she just displayed a gracious God given gift of all time, with less or none hospital equipment the mother and the child seems in great condition, truly speaking her smile tell me all is well, Joseph thanks for this piece
wow! a very kind hearted environment the baby and the mom are ao lucky to have board in that plane , even it's not that easy to delivera baby in that situation still, because of the people around them it was a meaningful welcome for the newborn, thanks for sharing this feel good post dear @joseph 👍👏❤️❤️❤️
