I Found My Fiance from Online Dating - And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Online Dating - Rumble Royale

It's a rumble royale out there.  I was that guy that swiped right on every woman.  It got to the point where I wasn't even looking at the phone.   Right, right, right, filter the matches later.  It was just a timesaver.  For years, I wasn't taking anything serious.  I would go on dates just for fun with no intention of going on any sort of second date.  I honestly thought I was never going to meet anyone I liked, and just gave up on trying to find the right girl.

Let's Go Back a Bit Though

In 2013, I came off of a 5 year poisonous relationship.  Constant fighting, bickering, screaming, and it was absolutely terrible.  I probably should have broken off with my ex 2 years before we had our mutual separation.  A buddy of mine told me about this app, Okcupid, and I was like, "nah, bro, you crazy.  Those apps are for weirdos".  He said, "no, it may seem that way, but it's actually really easy to do, and easy to meet someone".  So I said what the hell.

So 2013-2015, I was just an online dating machine.  I was on Okcupid, Zoom, Bumble, Eharmony, and Plenty of Fish.  I think it got to the point where every girl recognized me on these apps over a 2 year period.  I probably built up a reputation to eventually stay away! HA!

Then, least expected, I found my Fiance

In January of 2015, when I was basically out the back door in the online dating pool, I was surfing around Plenty of Fish, which was my least used online dating app.  For some reason, I didn't want to swipe, and I actually took the time to take a look at some profiles.  And there behold, without even knowing it, I was looking at my future fiance.   We met up at a local cafe and the rest was history.

We never really fight, always in a good mood, we communicate extremely well, and we have very similar interests.  It's like a fairy tale.   We are getting married in September of this year.

Reflection

Never in a million years did I think I would find the one through an online dating service called, "Plenty Of Fish". If I could reflect on my experience with finding each other, it is to get out there and not limit yourself. You never know when or how you will meet someone, and that is why it is so important to take chances and risks. You may fail, not once but many times. No one knows this better me. My failures are worth a million fold when I found my fiance.
