Life Is Better With The Fitbit Charge 2

in #life8 years ago

So I've been living with the Fitbit Charge 2 for just over a week now and it gets a solid two thumbs up rating from me. It's definitely made me feel better because just by wearing it the awareness factor of how much you're moving and following your training program shows up. The accountability factor is really helpful for me and I didn't realize how much I missed that buzz at my wrist from the apple watch.

The functionality of the Fitbit is really all I need from a wearable device at this time. It clocks your movement, gives heartbeat, has a chill breathing feature if you need to give yourself a virtual time out, acts as a watch and delivers text messages. Where it seriously outperforms the apple watch for me is the battery life. It runs for a solid 4 days and that's a great thing. I've found it easier to wear than the apple watch as well as it's smaller, way sturdier, doesn't feel fragile and the price point difference is huge. That translates for me into an experience of not worrying about brushing into something and scratching the device. It's a comfortable device to wear and stays in place through the day. If it was waterproof it would be perfect!

And it's got a great virtual cheerleader aspect for when you hit your target of steps for the day. When you set your own commitment for the minimum movement you'll do for the day it's pretty much impossible to not make it happen. If you've been on the fence about wearables I'd definitely recommend giving the Fitbit Charge 2 a try. To me whatever you can do to be healthier is a win and I'm happy to let tech help nudge me along the way.

Have you had any luck with wearable tech?
