It becomes a reality when the doctor informs the parent or family member that there child/ward will die in some few months from when he broke the news.
Doctor : I am sorry to inform your that your son has sickle-cell anemia and may not live to see age 12.
Parents : oh!!!! may God!!!!!, pleas doctor tell us its isn't true
Doctor : it is, you need to give him the best love a child in this condition needs
Mother : burst into tears!!!!!
Father : feeling sad and dejected also trying to console his wife.
This is the drama that usually play out in reality,and this is just the beginning,as they watch their son die gradually,and life leaves his body gradually, few years latter he is a shadow of himself,And the parents watched with very little to help the dead but alive.
THE RELATIONSHIP
If the marriage is not built on a solid foundation, it cracks,the couple blame the carrier that caused it.
They drift apart emotionally and physical and ‘love begins to fade”
It takes a strong couple to come back from this journey, especially when the child finally dies.Most often the mother takes the worst hit.but we have seen rare occasion were the man begins to die silently.
The man becomes reserved and brood very often, often times he resort to alcohol or he begin to find pleasure in other women,he keeps late night and can make a fuss with little argument.
I have also observed that the woman becomes depressed and aloof,Her emotion towards the man isn't what it used to.It takes a strong and patient man to bring a woman who had lost her son around.
The aforementioned listed above have vary degree of effect on the body as they begin to age.
Worthy of note is “high blood Pressure.
In the next episode I will highly the vicious circle of death that revolves a family .
