This is my opinion as at the current time but I am aware that my feelings about this might change.
When you are starting a new routine, especially when it comes to work, some of your friends and family will say that you are working too hard.
I've read a couple of different perspectives on the subject and can see where both are coming from.
View one: As long as you are getting enough sleep, food and drink then work as long as you can. If you feel you are lacking in a skill of some description, then spending more time working on it might help overcome it. For example procrastination for me.
View two: Have at least one day a week downtime.
I guess both views can co-exist. After all, you could work all the hours for 6 days a week and then have one day off. But as I am thinking about my current life filters, maybe I don't actually need all day off.
That said my kids come first. As I only get to see them at weekends, I wont be interested in working. I mean I have written the odd Steemit post while they are both playing or colouring in but nothing that would require my undivided attention for a long period of time.
But now they have gone home I am thinking about either going to watch some live music, or doing some work.
I have written this post so I guess it counts as some work...
For what it's worth, I say, choose Music @jumpathechance! Insightful, thank you. I sure miss the days I had little ones to play with... you are blessed. BTW, I heard once that our sleep hours before midnight count as two after. So, I switched up my routine, get up couple hours before that old city noise takes over my brain. Soon after, found I didn't need coffee or any caffeine, etc. - maybe because that early to bed practice removes the need? So, done now, going for fresh air walk, will seek out sand or grass to recharge this ol battery. (After couple days heavy rain, I sure need 'outside.') Leaving this lovely #Steemit playground, for now, to do just that. Peace.
Hiya @ktfabler. I did go to the live music in the end. I didn't stay long but I was glad to get out. I am so blessed with my little ones. They will never know how much they mean to me. Hope you had fun with your walk. Ciao for now.
I bet they will. Maybe they will see this one day. Glad you got out for some grownup fun!
