Failure while trying means a step closer to success because I get to reach new understandings. It’s okay to not always have success in life and to fail every once in a while as long as you pick yourself up and keep trying. People fail when trying to find themselves; it’s okay because that’s how you grow. You don’t need to over think it, learn the valuable lessons, pick up your pieces and continue trying.
You have to realize that failure is inevitable and is an integral part of life, yes you heard that, you obviously would fail at something; you can’t know the sweet taste of success until you have tasted failure. Every successful person has a story to tell, it was never a smooth ride, and there were definitely a few bumps along the road. While it’s okay to fail while trying, it’s not okay to keep failing because you are tired of trying.
“It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default” - J.k Rowling
If you are failing at something or you feel miserable that you have failed at something, you must understand however that it is an opportunity to learn valuable lessons and to improve. Evolution comes as a result of failure. Embrace it because everyone has failed at something also. Every one fails, we only see the end product of persistence which is success. This is also the part that interests everyone because it has sweet taste and then we forget that “Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor” – Truman Capote
The earth on its own is a failure, since there is a continuous evolution from one generation to another for an organism and its environment. To keep up with dynamics of life, as an individual, you need to keep evolving and improving. Success does not teach you any lesson, failure does. These valuable lessons help you evolve and improve. So it’s very okay to experience failure once in a while as it’s a vital stage in your personal evolution. With failure, you stumble on new parts while reaching for success. Have no fear for failure no matter what, take risks, keep trying, fail again and fail better. The experiences will help you get better, will make you stronger.
This is one of life’s biggest lessons, one in which we need to accept and reorient ourselves. While growing up we were all made to see failure as an abomination, parents keep telling you that you mustn’t fail, the society keeps saying you can’t afford to fail. This may be the major reason why the struggles of those who have reached the pinnacle of success in life is never amplified as much as their successes. We can’t all pretend they never had struggles or never failed and when eventually their failures are amplified, we all idolize it. While it’s okay for them to fail, it’s equally okay for you to fail too. The very reason while we have such negative response to failure is because we do not understand it for what it is – the very ingredient with which success is attained. Treating failure negatively erodes self-belief, creates a montage of self- doubt, depression and guilt. It also infuses the natural fear of trying again because you are afraid you would fail again thereby embracing ultimate failure. We need to understand that ultimate failure is when you stop trying, it’s definitely ok to fail while trying in fact it’s even okay to fail and fail again while trying, but you must persist whilst keeping an eye on the final price/goal. You appreciate success better when you have worked very hard for it. The art of failing should not be seen as a taboo but as a learning curve, an opportunity for growth and self-improvement and instead of playing victim to the present circumstances, learn to accept that a positive attitude to failure breeds success.
A life spent making mistakes is more honorable than a life spent doing nothing. Failure is often times a test to see how well we can handle and manage success. People who avoid failure also avoid success.
