Good Day steemers, You know sometimes you find yourself forgetting important things such as meetings, or to pick your kid up from school? Well the reason you are forgetting these things is because you are thinking about so many different things that you need to get done so your mind starts to forget things, meditation can help with this aiding you to clear your mind of all the clutter and think in an organized focused way. Here's how meditating for just 5 minutes a day can help you.
When you settle down to meditate your mind takes a little breather and allows your body to relax allowing you to think more clearly without all the background noise of your day. Meditation is like opening the flood gates to let stress out, it helps to keep you grounded and positive and even energized.
Meditation is one of the most simple things to do here's how
- Find yourself a comfortable spot to sit/lie
- Get cushions or whatever yoiu need to make you as comfortable as possible
- If sitting make sure to sit with good posture (this will be hard at first but will get easier with practice until it becomes natural)
- Make sure you will not be disturbed
- You can close your eyes or keep them open
Now breathe in deeply and slowly through your nose and out through your mouth, continue this throughout the session. allow yourself to think but do not dwell on your thoughts merely let them slip past and you will notice them becoming fewer and further between and the thoughts you do have will be more profound than the earlier thoughts.
Now this is one FORM of meditation however there are many different ways you can meditate such as focal point meditation, group meditation etc. it will take time to become good at this so have patience with yourself and dont try to force yourself into a meditative state because you will only make it harder for yourself.
