We all know that technology has some negative effects on us, but in this post I’m going to talk about something more precise, something that I’m sure a lot of us are doing: sleeping with our phones close to us, or even next to our heads. Do you know the reasons why you shouldn’t do that?
First of all, we use our mobile phones in almost every moment of the day. We use it with our hands, we keep it in our pockets, we even leave it on the table or in other unclean places, so can you imagine the amount of bacteria can a phone retain?
I’ll give you the answer, and you’re not going to like it: a mobile phone can hold more bacteria than a toilet seat. Because of this reason, you should clean your phone if you want to use it before going to bed or when you wake up.
Secondly, similar to the microwave oven, your phone produces radiations that are bad for your body, even if it’s in small amounts. Is you use your phone all day and you expose yourself to these radiations, you should at least stop doing that at night.
Give your body a break and keep your phone away while you sleep. If you really can’t do that, here’s a trick that will diminish the radiation amount: keep your phone on airplane mode during the night.
Besides that, like your TV, laptop or any other gadget with LED screens, you phone also has blue light. Studies have shown that this blue light stops the production of melatonin, which is a hormone that helps you sleep. The light from the phone has almost the same wavelength as the day light, so it will trick your body into thinking that it’s day time.
Lastly, although the cases have been rare, some tragedies might happen. There’s a reasons why the producers warn us not to sleep with the phones next to us in the instructions manual. There had been cases in which, because of a technical malfunction, tragedies took place.
For example, if the battery of the phone isn’t compatible with the charger, it is possible for it to overheat. If you’re not willing to risk you phone blowing up next to your head or your pillow catching on fire, maybe you should keep your phone on your desk during the night time.
This is something I always try to make sure of! Sleeping with my phone at a decent distance away always.
I have heard such cases of phones blowing up on people's heads. We are at risk that we don't know. Thanks for sharing @jwolf
Bedtime tips.
No wonder i feel this way at night. Lol
Thanks
Thank you...Really very important
Thanks, I will keep that glowing grenade away from my bed from now on.
I know I shouldnt but I just can't do it lol
wow!
I have seen pictures of people that got badly hurt, and even died as a result of sleeping with their phones on the bed. I know that it's kinda rare, but people still get hurt from this things.
So i think it's pretty kul that you brought this up again. Big ups!
RADIATION!
OMG...we're all gonna
MUTATE!
OMG! :))
Radiation is really bad and we have to stop from giving it to kids as well
As someone who fell asleep at 7AM last night, I endorse this message. I should also probably listen to it.
So true. I think after we have quantum entanglement phone tech we will look back and wonder what we were thinking microwaving ourselves every single day for hours on end. That's if we don't die from soaking our nervous system with non biological frequencies first!
Good point about the batteries as well. I charge my phone on a non flammable surface.
Huh😨..thanks for this..... Actually I do this most times. Will desist henceforth. Thanks so much for this vital info
Thank you so much, this is so helpful. I have heard about some serious medical damaged caused by sleeping with your phone
Whats is most important to increase reputation ?
