Two separate entities, a sperm and an egg, unite
We emerge from the growth and multiplication of a zygote as babies, adored
We become sprightly young toddlers, inquisitive
Shy in pre-pubertal childhood
Adolescents, bravado so bold and brazen. Intriguing rebelliousness
Sit up and stand up to be counted as responsible adults, find our way
Societal figures
Age catches up, midlife crisis looms
Old and wrinkled, wise but wobbly
We age
School builds us up
The search for a job makes us hunters
Jobs make us very fierce cats
Protecting job and benefits alike
Calm and collected, we become leaders and role models
Nurturing and nourishing the next line
Then retire and miss the days when we labored
Two hearts come together
Starts as a little crush
Infatuation becomes us
Overwhelming feeling of belonging
It feels right
A few differences spring up, early warning
Great chasms emerge, we fight
Make up, fight
Vicious cycle
Love may become a distant memory
A road untraveled
Money becomes good and services and vice versa
Whatever we do, say, live and love
Things change and there's nothing we can change about that
Indeed, life is a state of perpetual transition and all we can do is adapt. Thanks for sharing, nice piece doc.
