Kenpo is a Japanese martial art of Chinese origin. Kenpo means "boxing" in a generic way, this term was adopted in Japan in modern times and indicates a group of methods inspired by Chinese styles developed especially since the Ming era.
Is a weaponless martial art combat probably practiced by the Shaolin Buddhist monks since the 7th century, Kenpo's techniques have profoundly influenced those of Okinawa-te (the future Karate, towards the end of the nineteenth century). Kenpō is also called Hakuda, Shuhaku, Shorinji kenpō and Ch'uan-fat or Ken-fat in Chinese. From the kenpō would come Po-kua and Hising-i.
The techniques of kenpō are: kicks, punches, projections, dislocations, articular levers and body-body combat, both on the ground and on the ground. For fights, they wear gloves and special protection for the face and trunk. Shorinji Kenpō also plans to teach to fall, imitating feline movements to rise quickly.
I hope you love martial arts as I do, Have a good day my friends !!
