Are we all looking forward to the party season, well as a mum I think its only right I give some advice, something all us parents should be telling our young ones before they go off and have fun. This is what I have told my daughters on numerous occasions.

When your out having fun try and stay alert of what is going on around you, especially with your drinks.
Never let them out of your sight
If you walk away from your drink to come back to it, get a new one
Don't accept drinks from people you don't know
If your drink doesn't taste right stop drinking it
If you don't feel right tell a friend
Always tell someone (parent) where you are going and who with
If plans change text someone (parent) and let them know
Do not take valuables out with you
Don't mix your drinks
Know your limits (alcohol)
Buy bottles instead of a drink in a glass then you can keep your thumb over the whole
Sip your drink, miss one, drink a glass of water
I recently heard this tip which I think is a really good idea.
When getting into a taxi, Take a photo of the registration plate and driver then send it to a friend or parent

These are all tips to keep you safe. With the holiday season getting busy and lots of people out celebrating there is more reason to be alerts and aware of what is happening not just with yourself but with your friends too. As I have been told a million times YOU DON'T NEED DRINK TO ENJOY YOURSELF so knowing your limits is perfect.
Thank you @son-of-satire
Thank you @artedellavita
my youngest was very head strong at the age of four. i said to her, if you keep being naughty , i am gonna do a Joshua on you !!! she said a what ? i said you had an older brother and he is buried under the clothesline. my 4 year old replied i have an older sister but no brother.
i said, yes i just told you, you HAD an older brother , he would be ten now but he kept being naughty and is now buried under the clothesline out back...
that threat kept my youngest daughter more manageable from the age of 4 to age seven when she finally worked out her father was telling her lies .
thankfully today she is far less naïve about humans telling lies than she was as a kid.
today she even still talks to me as a well adjusted adult young lady , i am very glad i never got around to truly burying her under the clothesline , but if i had of i would have saved a real lot of money over the years :)

Ohhh that's not nice, would have scared her lol
She found a young neighbor friend who daily wanted to be her BFF then seemed to hate her the very next day. After over a week of putting my young child to bed nightly in happiness the next night in tears. After over a week i said , listen babie gurl, obviously this slag is playin mind games. You keep opening up your feeling to this girl and this bitch keeps hurting you.
Your enabling this slag to mess with you and i do not have the time for your stupidness. i am personally happy this girl is like this, someone like you will never have to compete against a retard like that for boyfriends or jobs or university placements. That retard is destined to become adult human refuse krap and is best avoided . . .
. . .
A week later i asked my 9 year old, how is that bitch treating you and she smiled and said, oh i just avoid her now :)
...
I said smart girl, human trash is everywhere ; its best if you learn that very young as your less likely to be contaminated :)
my baby girl, looked at me and nodded her head !!!

Good advise for all, not only the youngies.
Modern phones can help to make life safer, use them.
Very true, :)
Extremely good advice for the holiday season, Karen. Thank you for posting this.
Thank you :)
I had never thought of some of these. I really like the bottle idea, easy to keep covered. Also, the taxi tip. I know a lot of people are uncomfortable with Uber and Lift, and the idea that anyone with a qualifying car and driving history can join. I’ll be sharing these tips with friends and family!
I hope young ones will use them tips :)
Hi, Karen,
You've collected a nice list of very practical advice.
Now, if we could only pound it into those thick skulls of our offspring... ;)
😄😇😄

We can but try :)
