I am really surprising myself. I always put things off until later, then later never arrives, i am terrible for it plus i am a really bad hoarder, me & hubby are addicted to hoarding,
Keep it we might need it
That could be useful
Well my new Mantra is
If we haven't used it in the last year it can go
We have had to start getting our bedroom emptied as my new bed comes next Saturday, my bed needs dismantling, walls need stripping, whites need painting and everything needs a good clean. The worst thing I have ever done is buy a bed that you can store things underneath, If we don't use it the normal phrase is store it under the bed. Yesterday I was home alone as hubby went out with his mum, I wasn't feeling 100% so didn't go but whilst at home the thought of clearing under the bed kept jumping into my mind. So i got started. I spend most of the day reorganising the bedroom, keeping what I use and getting rid of what i don't. I had 2 piles rubbish and sell for charity.
Getting on top of things helps me feel more relaxed, having so much to do bogs me down so my focus at the minute is completing everything that needs doing. The bedroom is now underway, we have just taken a car full of rubbish to the recycling village with a few boxes downstairs to go to my sisters garage for the table top sale we hold for animals. Hubby has taken down the shelf's from my bedroom wall, stripped most of the wall and early next Saturday morning he will dismantle our bed when i can get in and clean the floor ready for the new bed coming. Hubby is going to do the painting in the evenings when he gets in from work. I need to look for some glittery silver wallpaper and new shabby chic shelf's.
Another thing i have done is taken my old laptop into the shop to get fixed. I always have a warranty on my electrics paying a little each month to cover breakdowns. The warranty i have covers repairs and old for new, If this laptop can't be fixed they give me a cheque for a certain amount towards a new laptop. If it can be fixed they will replace all the worn keys, sort the mouse pad out and wipe the computer. I find out in 5 days what is going to happen. I have been meaning to take it in for months, thankfully now its done I can stop thinking about it and concentrate on something else.
I am determined to get on top of things and make it my New Years Resolution for next year.I have got to stop Procrastinating and deal with it straight away and the hoarding has got to stop.
Thank you @son-of-satire
hope you get a new one to play with
Me too. Fingers crossed :)
It is probably worked out that you are actually paying for a new one with the plan you are on. so Good Luck.
I agree but its cheaper than forking it all all out at once :)
I'm really good at procrastinating. I even replan things when procrastination strikes, just to delay things further. !
Don't you get frustrated as everything piles up. I'm glad to have caught up again ;)
Oh yes, very frustrated. Like you though, I have pets that I treat like humans, so they are a major distraction and another reason for procrastination 😂😁 Once I get strarted though, I stick it out until it's done.
Couldn't be without our furbabies :)
