Hi friends, sorry I haven't been on here for a few days, hubby brought a nasty cold in to the house then decided he wanted to share it. I have been coughing so much for over a week, felt like I'd been drove over by a tractor and I couldn't sleep enough its been horrible. Thankfully today I started to feel a little more human. I managed to get showered and dressed to help hubby with a food shop as we had used everything and the cupboards were bare.
We are being more mindful of what we are buying so we aren't throwing food away, we make a list of what meals we are going to have then stick to it but then you start to feel ill and everything you have bought won't do, one day I had nothing other than a pot of ice cream. I couldn't handle eating anything else.
Its just me and hubby until Monday evening as my daughter has gone away for the weekend with her boyfriend. Me and hubby have decided what we are eating even down to the biscuits so we didn't buy any, we are trying to choose healthier options. I really enjoy the weekends when it's just me and hubby as its so relaxed and peaceful. Huuby has his few hours at golf arranged that's when I get the TV to myself to catch up on the crime/murder shows. The dogs get settled, the doors are locked then I have 4 hours of peace. I keep telling hubby I'm making notes just incase I need a few tips, don't think he's amused.
I have got a lot of gardening top catch up with, I need to do a lot of weeding, plus moving a few pots around as the plants are overgrowing the pots, I then want my bee section enlarged and sorted out plus getting the garden sorted so that I haven't got all this work to do every year. I'm not growing anything this year apart from a box of country mix for the butterflies and bees. I need to make a list of what needs doing, I wanted to pay someone to do it but hubby wants to do it himself he hates spending money.
We have found a lovely pond that's pretty close to us, there are ducks and swans plus we have heard there are turtles. My daughter has been and said it's a lovely and peaceful with plenty of seats. Me and hubby are going to go, I'm going to take some food for the animals and hopefully get some good photographs. We at trying to find new places for us to visit, mostly to give me something to do and look forward to as have been getting myself into a rut locking myself away inside.
We still have our turtles, the baby ones are certainly growing, they are being finger fed, hopefully we can soon start handling them.
They look like old grumpy men, they are still a little nervous around us, if we get to close they jump back into the water buy are getting better.
