Hey Steemit community! :D

(I AM GOING TO SHOW THEM HOW YOU ALL RESPOND SO THEY KNOW IF ITS A GOOD IDEA OR NOT)

My name is Kat Gualy and I am currently getting my undergrad in Digital Media Management at St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas.

In one of my classes this semester, Principles of Digital Media, we have weekly discussions where we talk about articles we find covering current events in the global tech revolution relating back to what we are discussing in the classroom.

Each week, a few students are invited to share about what they found in front of the whole class. Last week, I was invited by my professor to discuss my article and introduced STEEMIT and other blockchain social medias such is nexus.com and synergy.com to my class of about 20-25 people and my professor. (This was so exciting for me because I am a huge advocate for STEEMIT and to be able to present this idea to so many people at once was incredible)

AND, what I realized after class is that my class could TOTALLY post our article discussions onto Steemit.com to share with this community what we are finding and learning about Digital Media in our world today (AI, robotics, social media, currency, biotech, etc). We already post these discussions in essentially the same format on Canvas for school, so my question is why not move that here as well???

**********SO HERE IS WHAT IM ASKING THE COMMUNITY:**********

Do you think this is a good idea??
Is this content you would enjoy seeing on steemit??
If yes, up vote and comment telling/showing my class why!! I will take a screenshot in a few days and share STEEMIT's response to this post with my whole class to show them what kind of potential there is for all of us on this amazing site!!
I really want them to see first hand the potential of how supportive this community is of each other, so please please please leave feedback and tell me how we can best bring this classroom of 20 people onto Steemit.com!!

xoxo

What a brilliant way to introduce Steemit to your peers, who still have a chance to be early adopters of this exciting new social media network. Steemit is a perfectly appropriate space for stars to practice their shining. To me, Steemit is divinely aligned with the arrival of the Creative Age, when we survive and thrive by our creativity. Steemit promotes creative thinking through contests and events such as the Steemit #openmic and the #culinarychallenge, rewarding participants with enthusiastic audience responses, plus other incentives. It's a smart way for students to gain a glimpse of the reality they might expect after school, when indeed they might have to be more self-reliant and self-sustaining than previous generations. In fact, I see college students here often, journaling about what they're learning in theater school, for example, or sharing discoveries with their peers in a technology class, like your example. Steemit can be very valuable, on emotional and social levels, and even monetary levels, for some. It can also be very humbling, and this comes with its own rewards, for those of us with the willingness to learn from our challenges. It's a place to practice blooming where we are planted, wherever and whoever we are. Here, artists create, co-create, and curate, with boosts from a community who appreciates the value of artistic expression as well as radical thought and outside-the-box problem solving. For people with natural talents for the arts, for hobby photographers, for aspiring musicians... this is a playground and a platform where we find our voice, stand for what we believe in, and reach out to others like us. This way, we Steemians are all doing our Work in the world, growing together.

for freedom and truth! To be validated and paid for your own content and creativity and creations in the world. and to destroy the fiat currency that funds wars and causes deaths in order to rape our planet of her natural resources.

Yep, that's the ideal. I like to think we'll get there someday, with prosperity resulting directly from our creative thinking and solutions and actions and inventions. Baby steps. For now, it's a great platform to stand on and speak up, in order to connect with passionate people. This is a a way of living richly, with or without the financial rewards.

Steemit provides a direct way for users to incentivize posters and to dictate who gets paid at the end of the day. With the current de-monetization of posters on YouTube we are seeing a market response to the problem, DTube will soon takeover. Steemit's implementation of blockchain technology allows us to know and store exactly the amount of money on our wallet and never be told by a 'Facebook' type gatekeeper that we do not own what is ours. Now that @dan is perfecting his other blockchain implementations bitshares and eos we will fully decentralize our economy from the social platforming to trading with one another on, bitshares, an exchange. No longer will the technocratic elites be allowed to filter our media or freeze our assets when we try to withdraw $2,000. Down with the gatekeepers.

You mean that you would create a steemit account for the whole class? I think it sounds like a great idea! :) AI, robotics, social media, currency, biotech, etc all sound like interesting topics I, and probably many others, would like to read more about. And if you're writing good quality content anyways, why not post it here? So I say go for it! You won't regret it, that's for sure :P
