Are you in love with Harry Potter and Halloween?! Well, this next stop might be just what you're looking for. Beginning Friday, 26 October, guests are invited to come see some of the sets that were used to film the Harry Potter movies with behind-the-scenes access as well as indulge in a two-course dinner.
The Warner Brothers Tour in London, U.K. will display special effects and reveal secrets about the filming of the movies. This opportunity will last three nights only (26 - 28 October) from 7:30 pm until midnight, and is only for ages 18 and up.
The Hogwarts After Dark event will kick off with 'spooky' cocktails and samplers as guests make their way to the Great Hall for dinner. The hall will be decorated with over 100 floating pumpkins, mimicking Hagrid's pumpkin patch in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban."
The dining area will consist of extended tables that seat up to 12 guests each. The tables will be decorated with red apples and lollipop cauldrons with original props and costumes from the series.
The dinner menu will include appetizers like "smoked duck with a pumpkin puree and blood orange jelly." Alternative starters will include "goat cheese ravioli and roasted squash and pumpkin seed granola." For the main course, guests will enjoy roasted lamb loin and shoulder with a vegetable pudding.
Wine will be served throughout the evening, and guests will transition over to the Forbidden Forest for dessert. Menu items will include a cherry tart or spiced pumpkin brûlée.
Also, "Buckbeak the Hippogriff" and...
..."Aragog the Acromantula" will stop in to visit.
After dinner, visitors can explore the filming studio where they will see sets like the "Gyffindor common room and the Weasleys' kitchen."
Guests will also learn how to maneuver a wand as they prepare for a live battle with the Death Eaters.
To compliment the evening, Butterbeer will be provided, and guests can walk Diagon Alley where Death Eaters will be waiting to give a good scare.
Tickets for the Hogwarts After Dark event go on sale 28 August, and average about $280 per guest.
