If I added up the time I've spent on Steemit that I might have spent doing more financially rewarding things, would I find that, instead of making me money, it has actually cost me money?
Time spent on Steemit has given me some pleasure, as I have had interesting interactions with my virtual friends in the blockchain equivalent of the Star Wars Cantina Bar.
But is it better than real time spent with real friends? Or real time spent on those pesky tasks, like my end of financial year tax returns? That I haven't done for a few years because I haven't had the time to spare on tasks that make me yawn because I have low impulse control and can't focus for long periods on tasks that I find tedious, due to the constant distraction of electronic devices.

You're not suppose to lodge a tax return every year. You leave them for about 3-4 years and then panic and do them all at once. Then you're set for another 3-4 years.
Ha-ha :) I'm in the 3-4 year panic stage
