How To Be Happy 24/7

Let me get this first, Let me get that. The problem is we rely too much on the things that we hope to get to make ourselves happy. It's ridiculous.

If my happiness depended purely on the car I Just got, Then I would be happy for the first time in 24 years.

Be content with what you have already

Sometimes it's hard to be happy when we feel as though we have so little. But what makes us think we'll be happy when we have the things that we have been wanting?
If you have the brand new clothes, and all the groceries you wanted, You May feel happy at first, But then that happiness will quickly fade, leaving you with the sense of emptiness.
You have to be happy with you, and what you already have.

Even when your life sucks, Whether you go through something bad, It's still possible to be happy despite those problems. You just have to make the conscious decision that you are going to be happy anyways, and that's not something that will bring you down. That Is a struggle I've had recently after my 6-year relationship ended. While I did everything in my power to make the relationship work, He had become so so selfish and wasn't willing to compromise with anything. That he was willing to sacrifice everything that I've ever wanted in life so he could have what he wanted, Which also involved me.
At this point, I made the conscious decision to be happy without him. To make my life the way I want it. Sure, I can't have every little thing I've ever dreamed of, In this exact moment without any effort. But I can focus on all the wonderful things I do have, And use those things to make me stronger.

Intentional Activities

Sometimes we are abusive to ourselves, Sometimes we abuse our bodies with unhealthy food and sugary drinks. We drink alcohol, or we flat out refuse to exercise Most of us have some behavior we aren't proud of, And it's hard to feel happy when you aren't feeling well, that's why it's important also to make an effort to take care of yourself. If you are dying for a personal day to get yourself back on track mentally, Take one.
If you need some extra sleep or water Give it to yourself.

Happiness Is A Practice

You can't master happiness overnight. I remember back in the day when I was a negative person. It took a while to get to the point where I was more focused on the positives in my life over the negatives. Happiness is part of what you do each day, How you think, & how you take care of yourself. Over time you can become happier by making more changes in your life that will get you there.

Conclusion

Happiness is something you can decide to have, and the logic that you'll be happy after some event happens. It's bad, And you are going to fail. While if you focus on what you do have now, And use that to be positive and take care of yourself. You are more likely to have a happier life.

Kaylin, I recall a post I think some time back about that prior relationship and its good you moved on. It was clear you guys were of complete different mindsets.

And yes, Happiness really is a practice!

When I go long stints without doing gratitudes I find myself bitchy about what I am not getting.

Mostly moved on! I struggle from time to time, But I assume its part of the healing process :)

Yes, it takes time to completely get over someone. You are well within the normal curve. Keep kicking ass girl.

True! Accepting your situation whatever it is opens the door for true changes that you would not have seen else.
I love your "conscious decision to be happy without him". By doing this, you removed your dependance from inside.

Exactly! Sometimes we don't realize how much dependence we have on people until they are gone.

I appreciate this so much, Happiness is something I think is assumed it just a given. But it is work, an art form. You have a gift for writing

Thank you! It's not given at all haha!!
Thank you so much for your compliments.

Choosing to be happy is one of the greatest decsisions a person can make! I applaud you for doing so. :)

Thank you! I agree completely.

Thanks to share this...another advice : Positivity helps us bridge gaps we would have previously fallen down, and this makes it so much easier for you to get to where you want to be in life, as well as ensure that you can tick all of the right boxes with regards to how you are feeling on a daily basis, maintaining a 24/7 positive mindset along the way;

Agree completely! A positive mindset makes all the difference.

Wise words. Mindfullness is crucial to being able to maintain our own states of happiness. Without mindfullness we are at the mercy of our emotions and circumstances.

Exactly! And being at mercy of those factors isn't good in the long run!

You were in a relationship that became toxic and that has to leave a mark. Sadness is just a normal reaction to a unusual event or events, just like those intentional events you mentioned. Everyone should eventually figure out a way to choose happiness just like you did. It makes me happy when I see a person sharing these experiences and I just hope the right people find blogs like this one is. All the best @kaylinart. resteemed

Honestly? This post by @kaylinart made my day!

That's what I'm talking about :D

Thank you so much :) It did get toxic! It was really disappointing, Because it wasn't always that way. But sometimes relationships just go to that.

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes, it's just better to be single, anyway.

You appear to have a good attitude!

Aww..I'm so glad you ended that relationship. It's not good when there is no compromise. You will be happier in the long run and that car is gonna help lol

Right? I am so excited about that!

@kaylinart: No matter whatever happens, happens for good. Sooner or later you will find out it was a great decision and you moved on.

Be well and stay healthy. Love <3

So true hehe :) thank you.

Couldn't agree more! Happiness is a choice! :) Also congrats again on your car! #goalz! btw, just posted about my crafting tutorial. I bet you'll get a kick out of it since you love art! hehe!

Taking a look :) I love your new profile photo eheh

Aww ya noticed! ❤❤❤

Great Post ! When we rely our happiness with an object or a person we lie to ourselves because in fact we just chase an ILLUSION !

Thats definitely what it is! Just an illusion. But so many fail to see it.

@kaylinart Being happy is a condition that unfortunately few today know, but it is something that all people should look for and find. I do not think that happiness is in money, it is something deeper than money. Good post. I follow you

Right? so many people are constantly trying to "find" Happiness.

for me happiness is then all going good, and i and my family dont have any problem and we enjoy our life :)

Good I'm glad hehe :)

nicely said - Happiness is not related to the number of things you have or buy. I am happy because I wake up in the morning - every thing else is a bonus =)

So many people spend so much time complaining about what they don't have and should focus on what they DO have. I said the other day instead of complaining about high gas prices, be grateful you have a car to put gas in, a grocery store to drive to and get food to bring back to your home that hasn't been ravaged by storms. Kudos for your positivity.

Exactly! Thank you! I loved your examples. Thats what I used to think about people who complained about gas prices! Back before I had my car.
but even with my bicycle I was grateful that my bicycle let me go at much higher speeds than walking.

As I grow older, I find less happiness in material things and more happiness in being around the people that matter the most to me. A happy, healthy life, is a great life!

Exactly! What actually makes us happy is so much simpler than many people expect.

Excellent read and advice, especially about taking care of yourself. Eating and drinking horribly will only make you feel worse!

Thank you! I agree completely! It's important to eat right and take care of yourself.

Sometimes we are abusive to ourselves! Good point!

Agree! It can quickly become a bad habit that we have too.

It took a long time for me to understand this concept. Once I did life sure became a lot easier. Sometimes I have to remind myself that life is perfect just the way it is. Thank you for a lovely post. 🐓🐓

Exactly! Thank you so much!

Great words of advice!!! I believe it 100% Although sometimes easier said then done, practice makes perfect. I've been practicing mindfulness lately and this includes exactly what you're talking about. It's the little things in life that matter most and that begins with loving yourself first. Thanks for the reminder ❤️

Congratulations, @kaylinart!! You picked a great car!! Your post viral now haha Just Following you now :D

Thank you so much ehhehe :) I'm glad I picked a great car hehe.

Great car combines beautiful owners :D

You're a force for good Kaylin. I enjoy reading your posts!

Aww I'm glad @Aggroed Thank you so much for stopping by

If you happy and you know you stomp your feet... money cant buy happiness but if I can buy my own house and refrain from renting a flat. I think I am so happy.

Heheh I'm glad you are happy. I believe money can help bring you temporary happiness. But I agree, It won't last long.

I think happiness and possessions are inversely proportional to each other. The happiest people I know don't have shit.. not even a house... well some of my best friends have everything and are miserable..

I loved this post!
Always be grateful is the key!!!
Thanks for sharing @kaylinart :)

Happiness is a choice and a practice like you said. Love practicing, life just keeps getting better :D

Exactly!!

wise words, and I'm glad you're writing this, thanks for this post, I love it very much

Thank you

you are welcome... if you have time come to my blog and put your comment , you can click here , and thank you

Happiness is something you can decide to have. AMEN
Lovely post!
Saludos

Exactly Hehe :)

Nice post!!! Humans, as social beings, are always attempting to compare themselves to others and that is one source of a lot of our desire to always want more and never be truly happy. It's a never-ending process that can't possibly lead to happiness, IMHO.

Happiness is the choice you made..... If you choose to be happy, you'll be the happiest.

Wrong selection of priority may cause you your happiness.

I don't think I'll ever be happy 24/7. Doesn't seem like it can work that way, just with how our brains are and the fact that life is challenging and there's so much sad stuff that happens. Can't avoid it..

You're so right.
Sometimes happiness is just a matter of attitude adjustment ..

happiness is all about finding joy in small things we do which really make us happy :)

I love to read your article. let me follow you

Wonderfully put! We will never be happy if we put conditions on our happiness: I'll be happy when _____ or I'll be happy if ______. Love yourself now and be grateful for what you have now. Attitude is everything in having a happy life.

I like your post @ kaylinart
Keep posting on great post.
Waiting for your next post !

You are So beautiful . And your pet is so sweet...

Right , Happiness really is a practice!

I resteem it

Hey Kaylin, What can I say....It's like every time you make a post you speak indirectly to me. Anytime I read your posts it literally speaks to my soul and I always have a lot of questions filled up in my head.
Now i'm not one to bother so I usually try to answer those questions myself in the best way that I can.
Happiness as you've clearly stated is a practice, some people often need a little more practice & maybe extra classes in finally mastering the art of happiness.
Thank you Thank you Thank you.

I just joined the Steemit community @kingbach. Would be super happy if I can get a comment from you on one of my posts.

Nonetheless I love your posts. Your an inspiration to me!.❤❤❤

Great post, worth the read. I always try to stay positive and have things in life that I know will make me happy because they are things like always improving myself, learning topics of interest to better my knowledge and much more. It's hard at first when a lot of your life has been a disappointment, but maturing and growing helps a lot!

Keep strong and thank you for the post.

Agreed. Very good post. Upvoted

Nice! Happiness is definitely a practice, and a choice. I and many others have a great experience with the active questions practice described in this article: http://www.dukece.com/insights/six-daily-questions-winning-leaders/

Feel free to check it out, perhaps it helps. My friend who introduced me to it says he's basically happy all the time now. I started about a month ago, positive results so far. Good luck!
