This year is already proving to be a crazy life changing one! A while back I got the news that one of my favorite E-commerce platforms Listia is switching from Credits to crypto in the making called XNK (Or Ink).
This is super exciting, and it just makes so much sense.
I've been selling on Listia for years, and for those of you who have been reading my blog for a while now, Will know I ran into a bit of trouble last year, because the "credit selling" They set up, Was having issues. There were too many people selling too many credits. As a result, I had over 12,000 locked in there and have SLOWLY been getting paid over the course of a year now. I get little amounts like 10.00 here and 20.00 there. But for such a large amount, It's been only a tiny portion.
Feedback System
Turning this into a cryptocurrency, Instead of credits. Will allow Listia to vastly expand and make something incredible. I already saw that they hope to incorporate this into other platforms like Offer Up, Facebook Etc. And it will have an embedded reputation system. So you can sell wherever and carry your reputation with you.
I would love to see this happen, I've been selling on so many e-commerce sites for years, And My feedback is high on many of these sites, But unfortunately, it doesn't transfer around.
Waiting For Them To Pay Me
There is a hard decision coming up that I have to make; They still owe me 11,000
Which can be invested in this new currency they made or taken out. But I will still have to wait for the credit sales to go through until they can get XNK onto a major exchange so that I could sell it off.
But they are letting sellers like me choose if we want to keep our credits or go into this new currency.
I May Start A New Store
If I can get paid regularly. And The issues seem fixed, I will launch my old E-commerce store back, And now that I have thousands and thousands of products (that I didn't before) I can list those on Listia, to boost my sales. Because they plan to incorporate XNK onto other platforms, this might help Listia gain even more tractions with sellers and buyers.
But of course, the payment situation has to be sorted out, because last year when this happened, I almost had to get a job again, because it put me into so much debt.
This is all exciting to see where crypto is going, And being able to use it in every area of my life, Instead of just Steemit.

Right! You should, Listia isn't too well known but it's still a great platform.
This is very cool and another sign of the use case of crypto and how it slowly will make its way into real life applications. You have a tough call to make honestly. Is it possible to choose to get some of the money in their new token and the rest in fiat ? Like fifty fifty?
Exactly! Yes!! I can do the 50/50 too. I may do that. Thanks to Steemit, I was able to pay of the debt it caused and I'm in a better financial spot now.

Interested to hear this. I just had to close my ecommerce store and I'm crushed. I was working full time making things and selling online but it didn't pay the bills. Maybe if I earn enough on steem I'll get back into it. My printing machine was stolen from my office and it is a loss of $22,000 . I really hope to reopen again. I've never considered selling the products of others. Probably a smart idea.

there is no doubt that it will succeed in this business as it is in every business. The site that has more design. An incredible idea. (I know your artist personality) Everything before working with the cyrpto currency is intellectual perfect. For this moment we have limited access to this money. Finally! Yes you should definitely do ecommerce. It's a good way to earn more crypto.
It would be no surprise to me if all monetized business agencies join crypto, cause anyone who understands "decentralisation" would see crypto as a saviour and quickly switch
There's a wordpress front end that is currently being developed that will allow people to pay via any currency (I think) that BitShares supports!

Hi! @kaylinart, i'm here and I see your post, it's really awesome pic....
This will provide a great opportunity, especially if you want to deal more with crypto-currency and continue on with your store once more. Hard decision as you could get that money out or potentially put it into other coins and make more money, or invest in theirs if you BELIEVE they will do well and to get in early by buying a lot of their coins. :)
