Want to change your abilities to make money? This article will teach you how!
I briefly mentioned Harv Ekers Book "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" Multiple times in my Other article. But this is going to be more in depth about this book specifically.
This is a book review post; I will post the notes I took while reading this book.
Your income can only grow to the extent that you do
People seem to think they can win the lottery and be happy ever after, But if they don't know how to manage their finances. They will just go broke like everyone else.
"Your money Blueprint" You have to be the right person at the right place at the right time.
I feel like you, and I are in this situation with Steemit right now, Everyone who is here was at the right place, at the right time when we heard about Steemit. This place could change our lives! (If it hasn't already)
- 80% of people claim never to be truly happy.
- It's what's invisible that creates the visible.
- We live in a world of cause and effect, Lack of money means that there is something going on in the inside, Not the outside.
" Thoughts lead to feelings, Feelings lead to actions; Actions lead to results."
I could go on all day with all the great quotes I have found from this book. It's truly incredible.
Steps For Change: Verbal Programming
Awareness: Write down all of the statements.
Understanding: Write down your beliefs and how they have affected you so far.
Disassociation: You have a choice, In the present moment to be different. So go for it and change!
Declaration:
Don't save for a rainy day, Save for a happy day. Otherwise, you'll get nothing but rainy days
So many people never want to take actions for their mistakes, They play the victim. "poor me", I'd be rich if I didn't have a dog. That dog eats so much food!
"Poor Me" I woke up today and Someone was mean to me, So I'm going to spend the next ten years upset about it!
I'm sure we all know those people. Don't try to change them, Instead, learn from them!
Blame
Some people try to find as many circumstances as possible to blame as many people as possible, Before ever blaming themselves.
- "I didn't get the job Because that guy dresses funny "
- "It's my parent's fault I failed, they didn't teach me anything, Even though I have a computer with internet sitting in front of my face right now."
- "My boss doesn't pay me enough money, So I'll never have what I want in life."
GUESS WHAT #$@% SOMETIMES THINGS ARE YOUR FAULT!*
Justifying
They may try to justify or rationalize the current situation.
Complaining
What you focus on expands in your life, Whether it's good or bad. Chronic complainers often have a tough life, Instead of being positive and trying to fix it, They often will go around trying to "out do" everyone with their bitching and moaning.
- Negative energy is infectious!
Get away from those people if possible.
People often act this way because of a deep rooted desire they have for the attention that they want. They mistake this attention, Even though it's negative attention for love. Everyone wants to feel loved.
Why don't people get what they want in life?
They don't know what they want!
"Poor people aren't 100% sure they even want to be rich#
Well, guess what!
EVERYONE GETS EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT!
But the "catch" is, you get what you subconsciously want. Not what you say you want.
- You may not be willing to do what it takes to get it. That is the problem.
There are three levels of "Want"
- I want to be rich,
You want it, And you'll take it. But only if it just falls into place for you, You aren't willing to do any work for it.
- I choose to be rich,
Your decision to be rich, At this point, you'll put a fair amount of effort into accomplishing your goal.
- I commit to being rich
You'll do anything and everything to make it happen. You'll put on a massive fight.
What I love about this book, Is its super simple to understand. His writing is beautiful. He's not presenting any info most of us haven't already heard before. But he's presenting it in a unique and fun way. There are so many intriguing quotes in this book. Also good advice. He doesn't go into any serious detail on how to manage your finances or how to "get" rich. But as the title suggests his focus is to prepare your mind and your attitude with the tools it needs to hold that kind of money.
I will have to do more than one post to touch bases on all of my notes. So if you are interested in more, Please follow future posts.
One book I feel is a good read after this is: "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" Where this author not only talks about your "mindset' In a new way But he also starts to use more in-depth financial examples that will help you look at the financial world in a completely new way.
Thank you Pexels for the photos
Thank you for the GIFS from Giphy

Great post.
I'll have to read Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind! I get a lot of value from Rich Dad, Poor Dad as well as Robert Kyosaki's other books. Have you read any of them?
Yes! I've read Rich Dad, Poor dad! I want to read the others! They were soooo good!
Thanks for a great post, ive been in on both ends of the scale from being homeless to having monetary wealth but to be ricjh in the mind is a totally different situation that took me a while to sort out....... looking forward to your future posts.
Thank you very much!
It definitely is a life changer flipping back and forth.
Many great things here. I think it is better to be a midle clas than rich.
Rich ppl get manny fake friends and begging. I think it is a stressfull lifestyle.
Regards
I agree in some ways yes! I feel like if you surround yourself with other rich people, That should help!
I feel like different people can handle different amounts of money!
Yess agree with you. I think so too :)
People who are never satisfied with what they have are always complaining about things...the ones that have the 'I' in themselves are always looking into to side line themselves from others...never a team players...I liked your article...it is true no matter how much we have but we are not satisfied and our wants are higher than our living.
Thank you it's so true.
Those people who are like that really need to change their mindset.
Similar articles were already here.
Oh really!? I didnt see them :) I just wanted to share what I learned from this book. So I decided to do my own "take" on it. Everyone can create a slightly different point of view on things.
Change your mindset -> Change your reality! :) Mind over matter.
So true :)
Ive gotten a lot of good tips for growing your net worth from Dave Ramsey's Website, I learned about it in a college class. This book looks pretty good, and I love to read. Amazon here I come!
I'll have to check out Dave Ramseys website :) THank you for posting the link! I've heard a lot about him but I haven't dug very deep into his work.I'll need to do that.
I think we can create the life we want by visualizing it, making a plan and then executing the plan. It involves hard work. But positivity and a good attitude make it so much easier!! Loved this post. Will have to get the book :)
Thank you :) I completely agree with you on that!
Good points. Thanks,
No problem :)
adding to the library, thanks :)
No problem :)
You know, Kaylin, this is brilliant advises! Just brilliant! Thank you! :)
I was born in a family with a fairly average income. And unfortunately it was a tradition to complain and find a wealth something to be ashamed of. Just like the "Poor dad, Rich dad". My dad was very much like dad of Robert Kiyosaki. And all of these tips about which you write here, I had to discover.
But it's really something that works and something that is very important.
That's really true! In fact, the rich - who properly spends the money, not the one who gets a lot.
That's another big true! While one does not change his emotions, which are hidden inside the subconscious, he will not make a difference at the external level. For more than 3 years I have been counseling. All the blows of fate are the negative emotions that are deeply entrenched in the subconscious. But unfortunately, these emotions become a background to which one gets used. And this is the difficulty. When you generate negative emotion within a few years, you cannot notice that you are filled with negativity. You just wonder why all these bad things happen.
“People seem to think they can win the lottery and be happy ever after, But if they don't know how to manage their finances. They will just go broke like everyone else.”
Very very true. If they can’t see that the true value of their money lies in it’s ability to work for itself and grow whilst they sleep, hence providing financial freedom. They will never be free.
You raise some very good points. Personally for me, subduing the temptation of the inner consumer beast is a big one.
Thank you so much hehe
Thank you :) I looked at your article and upvoted! Thank you for sharing.
