Poker is a card game in which you take incomplete information and piece it together to construct a strategy to beat your opponent. I played this game for a living and it’s fun to think critically in order to win, especially money right?
Crypto is very similar to poker and uses a lot of similar skills. Both need risk management, read the market/opponent, and make decisions based on new information that’s given as time goes by. You have to be able to change your view if need be, for example if you see a young poker player with hoody, sunglasses, and backpack you might think he’s a great player and then he tries to triple barrel bluff the maniac at the table, or makes some really terrible play. You have to be able to change your view on him. Same in crypto, there’s nothing wrong with being a bear or a bull, but once you’re given new information to add to your previous experiences, you have to be able to know when to change your own market sentiment.
Then there’s life, there’s people you like and dislike. I am the type of person to treat everyone equally. Obviously those you love and care about you treat differently. But just like in poker and crypto there’s always variance. You have to be able to adapt to things that happen in your life(cheats, lies, accidents, death). Take in that experience and use that to make better life decisions.
I’ve heard "you’re lucky" often in my life in poker, crypto, and love life. The saying couldn’t be more on point "luck is when preparation meets opportunity". You have to be ready when opportunies show up.
