the story of my life (part I)

in #life7 years ago

Hello everyone, with a series of posts I will tell you about my life from the first things I remember from my childhood until today.

This I do so that they know me better and so that I can reflect a bit of my life. I am going to start.

El inicio

The first thing I remember about my life is when I was four years old and I was in the hospital, my mother says it was because my body began to weaken day after day and to know that I had taken me to the doctor and they hospitalized me. With the passage of time, half of my body began to paralyze, first my right foot, then my right hand and final part of my face.
The doctors did not know what was happening to me until they did some exams and from the tomographies, they concluded that I had a tumor in my brain that was pressing on my cerebellum ("it's the part of the brain that is responsible for motor functions"). After they gave the diagnosis to my mother they began to eat how to operate since there were not that kind of doctors in the hospital where I was.

When they found a way to operate, there was a doctor who asked me to do another type of exam, and in those exams, they discovered that what they saw in my brain was not a tumor pressing the cerebellum, it was the same cerebellum that was inflamed limiting my motor skills. After they gave me the correct diagnosis, they started treating me with steroids, which caused me to increase my appetite. I remember that my dad bought me every day the happy McDonald's box and pizzas and I ate all that alone. I also remember that I was about to complete the collection of snoopy toys, I only needed two. But I already had to go home because I was already cured. I was diagnosed with acute classic encephalitis and finally, I was able to go home.

I gained a lot of weight because of the steroids so my mom took me to a gymnasium for children and there I recovered my normal weight and my motor skills with total normality. In the end, there is a key in the brain that causes a tremor in the hand that is the only sequel that I am left with that experience.

All this happened when I was four and five years old.

I hope you liked my story, wait for the next
