There is a time for everything. And whatever you are doing right now that is the time for that. So be present in that moment. Don’t be in a different time. Don’t be ruminating on the past or worrying about the future. Don’t live in guilt, regret or shame. Don’t live with worry, fear and apprehension. Live into the moment. The time is right now. There is a time for everything. And when it’s that time be there and nowhere else.
Without a doubt you’ve been told by a few people the importance of having a presence of mind. Live in the present moment, not in the past or the future. But what does this mean? How does it affect us? Why is It so important…….and how do you do it?
When you try to control everything, you enjoy nothing. Sometimes you just need to relax, breathe, let go and live in the moment. Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it. Always work with it, not against it. As nice as it is to look back on memories, life goes on and you cannot be stuck in the past.
The art of life is to live in the present moment, and to make the moment as perfect as we can by the realization that we are the instrument and expression of God himself.
There is never anything but the present, and if one cannot live there, one cannot live anywhere. When shall we live if not now? The present moment is filled with Joy and Happiness, if you are really attentive, you will see it.
Let’s take a look at how to be present in the moment and the importance of doing so…….
Forgive
When you forgive, you don’t change the past but you do change the future. Sometimes we forgive not because we are wrong, but because staying angry robs us of happiness. Holding a grudge doesn’t make you strong; it makes you bitter. Forgiving doesn’t make you weak; it sets you free.
Personally I forgive, but I also learn a lesson. I won’t hate you, but I’ll never get close enough for you to hurt me again. I can’t let my forgiveness become foolishness. Life becomes easier when you learn to accept an apology you never got.
Smile
Nothing is more beautiful than a real smile that has struggles through tears. Be happy with the little you have, there are some people with nothing who still manage to smile.
I recently wrote an article called Always Smile. I’m sure you’d love it!
Get Rid Of Unnecessary Possessions
Getting rid of unnecessary possessions feels like therapy. The less we have, the lighter we feel. Unnecessary possessions are unnecessary burdens. If you have then, you have to take care of them! There is great freedom in simplicity of living. It is those who have enough but not too much who are the happiest.
Why does it feel so good to get rid of things? To unload? To let go? Maybe because when we see how little we actually need to survive it makes us realize how powerful we actually are. To strip down to only what we need. To hand on only to what we can’t do without, what we need not just to survive but to thrive. For more tips on how to “Let Go and Move on”…. Click Here
Do a Job you Love
Passion is very important, if you don’t love what you do then you’re probably doing the wrong thing. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. Let what you love be what you do. If you’re not doing what you love, you’re wasting your time. It’s not what happens, it’s what you do that determines your future.
Practice Gratitude
The more your practice gratitude, the more you see how much there is to be grateful for, and your life becomes an ongoing celebration of joy and happiness. Gratitude should not be just a reaction to getting what you want, but an all the time gratitude, the kind where you notice the little things and where you constantly look for the good, even in unpleasant situation. Start bringing gratitude to your experiences, instead of waiting for a positive experience in order to feel grateful.
If you practice gratitude a little, your life will change a little. If you practice gratitude a lot every day, your life will change dramatically and in ways that you can hardly imagine.
Always realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have.
